Just want to add my thanks Ali. Every single week I would think “who the heck is that?” or “I should remember this plot, but I really don’t”. You always pulled things together with Sunday’s YR Chat! It had to be a lot of extra work. We are very grateful, for sure. I think I now have a deeper appreciation for some of our legacy characters. Maybe I’ll even go a little easier on them. I can’t promise that though. I think you are more generous and even-handed in your opinions. That’s a great quality since you have to moderate… Read more »
Thank you for saying this, Ellen! I really appreciate it.
Ali and chatters I wanted to let you know you don’t have to go back and listen to the last y&r chat before the old episodes began airing. I never want to spoil your Monday’s episode but I feel this is an exception. The first new episode gives the viewers flashbacks in order to remind the viewers where we left off.
Ali, you went way above and beyond during the past 14 weeks. It couldn’t have been an easy task. You are so knowledgable about many aspects if Y&R. Your effort is appreciated.
I think I spent more time on the Y&R Wikis in the past 3 months than anyone else in the universe! Haha. Thank you, Sandra!
Ali, just wanted to say thanks for your hard work in filling in the blanks and fleshing out the storylines on the classic episodes where we were given only a snippet! Also, I totally agree with you about how Good the show was in keeping secrets and waiting to reveal the truth. I always thought that was one of the things that made Y and R so much better than the other soaps. Unfortunately, it never happens in today’s world. No one has patience for that any more.
Yesss! Secrets… and then revealing those secrets… are what good drama is all about! Thank you, Lisa115!
According to what you are saying Ali Malcolm knew that Drucilla was drugged and notwithstanding that fact he decided to take advantage of this situation and have sex with her anyway? How is it that Drucilla did not blow her top when she realize what had happened? I am flabbergasted! Drucilla should have pressed charges if she was true to her nature. Malcolm should have been, at the very least, excoriated by society for being the rapist that he is.
I haven’t seen that scene in a long time, but I remember feeling icky about it. Like Malcolm should have known something wasn’t right.
I am surprised by the equanimity Drusilla expressed in the aftermath of this incident. Why didn’t she get upset when she realized what had happened? It sounds like she was not too disturbed by the fact that the sex happened to be with Malcolm, regardless of the fact that it was not consensual. If it had been someone else who was taking advantage of her I think her reaction would have been far more agressive. I think Drucilla would have done everything possible to guarantee that the offender would have been punished to the fullest extent of the law.
Oops! I was so busy patting myself on the back for picking a good ‘Who Said It’ quote that I forgot to read the names of this week’s winners!!! Sorry and congrats to Henry, Daisy, and Ambreen!!!
Thanks Ali…..you’re only human ya know.
Henry sighting!
lol…yes we never hear from him very often
It would be such a bad omen if Henry missed a quote. The unbroken streak is legendary.
