So, Tessa is being sent on tour, so that it can be explained, finally and makes logical sense as to why Cait Fairbanks(Tessa) will not be on the show. They couldn’t do this, without the Tanner Watts drama(digging Chase Coleman though). Could Devon have not sent her on tour himself, like he did with Fen.

I laughed at you hAving free time as your daughter gets older! If she is like my daughter, not until she is 18. I never had a spare moment with all of the activities she chose to take part in.

Always interested in any content you put out Ali. Would it work to break down your 2019 review outline into smaller pieces and give us a segment via podcast only each week? Maybe compile fewer comments for a little while? I don’t know how you keep up with the weekly demands as it is. Very impressive.

Just though I should mention that Johnny is Chelsea and Billy’s biological son, not Victoria’s. You know, those Newman siblings do like to claim other people’s kids,as their own, right? At least Chelsea gave her consent this time and never looked back. Maybe Johnny and Christian can share a therapist when they find out that Uncle Adam and Aunt Chelsea are their bio parents? Sure, will be totally easy for them both to get over…,

Best story of 2019 was the tribute to Neil Winters or Kristoff St. John. I felt the actors were expressing real emotions not just scripted ones. The worst story was the blooming love affair between Traci and Cane that went nowhere. The writers embarked on a journey that upon reflection they realized they had no idea where to take it. And the reason why was because it dawned on them only belatedly that there was something intrinsically out of character for a hunk like Cane to remain bonded to a dowdy character like Traci.

Best and Worst stories of 2019 for me was:
Best story of 2019: Neil’s memorial episode.
Worst story of 2019: The revisit of Katherine Chancellor’s will storyline.

Who can say, but I am going with The Katherine Chancellor will storyline as the worst along with lynn4283 BECAUSE it had the potential to be the best, given the emotional bonding some of us have with Devon, KC going without saying… Characters we care about. First, we were tantalized with the prospect of the will challenge as it was presented to Devon in a letter where he was informed of a hearing scheduled for 3 weeks away! Get excited and wait, audience! What could this all be about? UPSHOT: What might have been a small, intimate story turned into… Read more »

Its been a while since we’ve seen an emotional cancer storyline. I think the last time was with Lily. I believe CK won an Emmy for that storyline. So when I heard they were going that way with Sharon I was thrilled! This kind of storyline is GOLD for any actor. As long as it’s written properly this will have Sharon front and center for all of 2020. I’m happy for Sharon and all the people who work along side her. Nick, Mariah, Faith, Adam Noah NIKKI they will all support her. Speaking of Nick, the way HE ended it… Read more »

I believe Ashley had brain cancer. We were all laughing because like a day latter she was looking beautiful at the athletic club lunching looking gorgeous with a small clean white bandage on her head.

It has been awhile since anyone has asked me or my husband to dance at a party (or even longer than they cut in) but there have been 2 times that I remember where a woman I did not like (and even worse suspected she wanted to be more than friends with him) has asked hubby to dance. Even though I had to keep my jealously in check I knew I had my husbands heart. (Plus I would never give the woman the satisfaction of losing my cool lol) and I know that the reverse has happened. Sorry to disagree… Read more »

Am I the only one who feels that it was not all that bold for Theo to ask Lola to dance. I mean it was a party. If I am remembering correctly it wasn’t even a very slow dance. Could Kyle and Lolas marriage be built on such shaky ground she cannot dance with who ever she chooses. I feel it would be different in another situation. Such as bar alone with him. But in the context it would have been totally acceptable.

Hey Ali I personally would love a 2019 recap even if it is in February. Only if it doesn’t stress you out too much

Don’t sweat it, Ali. It’s only 50 hours extra work in what is a mediocre Y&R year. Can’t remember any of it outside of the summer carnival and druggie opening for Society.

That druggie opening of Society! That was FUN!!! Ali is right that we forget so much — and that wasn’t even very long ago. Y & R may not be perfect, but 5 hours per week, every week is amazing. No wonder there are only a few soaps left.

THAT is the thing!!! Whatever beefs fans have, a soap is out there producing 5 episodes a week, 52 weeks a year – no summer vacation. and THAT is worth it’s weight in gold! I never loose my appreciation of this fact. To offer soaps a heartfelt THANK YOU hardly seems enough! What an incredible factory a soap is. Nothing like it in all of entertainment. Love you, Y&R, and Edge Of Night too… (Never seen it, since cancelled -) P.S. When I was a little kid that creepy late afternoon soap’s titles with the black city skyline and the… Read more »

Never watched Edge of Night either but I vaguely remember a few episodes of Dark Shadows—the vampire soap opera from the 70s. That was weird! We were dripping in afternoon soaps back then. Hard to believe there are only 3 1/2 hours of daytime soaps left. We do need to be grateful for the longevity of Y & R—in spite of the things we wish were different.

Me, racing home from school and completely in love with Alexandra Moltke who was Victoria Winters!!!
I’m off-beat, never seem to favor what everybody else likes. I liked Dark Shadows when it began as a gothic soap over later when all the sppoks came in. Barnabus, the vampire was good enough for me –
