1st I’d like to say that, 3 generations of my family have enjoyed Y&R since the very beginning & I aspire to continue this legacy through unto the very end! My comment is concerning the entire scenario surrounding the surrogacy of the very precious, little Dominic. I believe it is an amazing gift that Devon & Mariah gave to Abby & Chance. Key word here is, “gave”. I think Devon was right to fight for his son. Truthfully, I think he was remiss to give up his parental rights in the first place. I do think he was sincere in being concerned with Chance’s ability to parent Dominic right now but I also think he became jealous by not being recognized as Dominic’s father since Chanel is now alive and in the picture. I do feel it is different than Mariah’s attachment because she is not biologically connected to Dominic. DNA and lifestyle wise Dominic is Devon’s son. Not to cause friction here. But your analysis of why Devon, has the right to claim Dominic as his son, is the exact reason he should never had volunteered in the first place. Just because he biologically connected to this baby, should not give him anymore rights to this child than Mariah, the one who carried it for nine months. They both signed away their parental rights. Thank you for the birthday greeting! My winter birthday in New England have never been much fun—I just lean into the dessert now. I will be more than happy to represent as you pursue custody of Dominic. Finally someone who deserves that adorable little munchkin is stepping forward. My extremely fake law practice will pull out all the stops!

Thanks Gary! Always go for extra dessert! As a Mainer, I definitely approve of the blueberry pie. Maybe get a whole frozen pie, bake it fresh, add some vanilla ice cream? It is my birthday after all…
