Video of how B&B films now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKo8V2n1_GM It doesn’t make me excited for the future Y&R, BUT maybe Y&R can work some magic & make it all look good. BTW there is a Hillary & Devon IG live. I really enjoyed it. They give a little behind the scenes info on filming their wedding.

Here is a clip about MIchael Damien possibly returning to the show as Ellen had mentioned. It is good to hear he would be interested. I would love to see him on y&r again!

I picked as my favorite Katherine’s facelift as my favorite. I missed it when it aired originally . I heard about it so was looking forward to it. Did a good job.

I think it is unrealistic to expect that the oeuvre that prevailed in 1973 would continue to persist 47 years later in 2020. Half a century is a lot in terms of what popular tastes define as compelling entertainment whether in humor or comedy. Keeping that in mind I think if I was a 15-year-old again watching the first episodes I would not tune in for a second time. Chris, for example is too much of a two dimensional, Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm character for me to take her seriously. She was clearly intended to fulfill a male’s fantasy of… Read more »

I’d say Chris was dated in 1973 and people and life itself have become so jaded that they would tear a Chris Brooks apart today. Check Chris’ social media! But then within the family you have a more complex woman, Leslie, and a femme fatal in Lorie. Peggy is everybody’s fictional kid sister! Embarrassing. Ali, I like your Chat assessment of Lorie able to steal Brad Elliot away from her sister with the Parisian sex skills she learned at college.

Lorie was a sex fiend on the prowl. Any woman who is fearless in promoting her nude portfolio to the public is an alright gal in my book.

She got off on the power of her ability to excite men. She loved her image of provocatress and felt the burden to live up to her reputation. She was Lorie Brooks, after all. A tease.
Not to mention a strip-tease, of course, for Playhouse Magazine.

Here is a fun fact Gary, and it might take you back as well. You probably know that the first Phillip Chancellor II was not played by Donnelly Rhodes, he was played by John Considine. Did you know, however, that John Considine is the brother of Tim Considine and he was the oldest son on the series “My Three Sons”?

Zoperxplex, my boy! This is exactly what I wanted to know! How did you know? When forced to, I guess I do remember those first few episodes with John Considine as Phillip, but I had to be reminded, then think back… Here is a fun fact of my own: With the flashbacks, I see there is a picture of Phillip Chancellor, JC, on Katherine’s breakfront, a formal portrait pose with he in a light suit. Episodes later after Donnelly stepped in there sits the identically posed photograph, only now it is Donnelly Rhodes, the only difference is Phillip is now… Read more »

Another fun fact both Tim Considine and Don Grady, the second oldest son, appeared on “The Mickey Mouse Club”.

You have to understand Ali this was 1973. The class divide was very topical in the 70s. That same sense of class warfare was expressed by Jill when she first set her eyes on Katherine’s sumptuous living circumstances.

Ali, Zoperxplex and MaryAnnV, you need to get to know Snapper better. (Although, Zoperxplex, you pretty well know him.)
