Hey, hey, we’re the Monkees! Looks like we have a lot of Monkees fans here on YR Chat. I was just a young girl when the show originally aired, but had my first crush on Davy Jones—like so many others did. That was a sweet show & 4 lovely guys.

They are bunch of clowns. But their favorite show was The Three Stooges! Low brow humor all the way.

Well, Ellen I guess I am with your brothers and low brow humor. I love me some Three Stooges. My favorite was Curly,
then Larry, followed by Shemp and finally grumpy Moe. I know there was a Curly Joe, but I don’t remember him much. But I love their slap stick antics.

As Adam’s lead fake attorney, I really must protest. Adam allegedly MIGHT have printed an article about Billy Boy’s fake drinking. Consequence: Victor loses confidence in Adam’s “judgment” and sells Newman Media to Newman-Locke with no discussion. Victoria DOES hand the keys to the kingdom over to Ashland without doing her due diligence to ensure she really can trust him. Consequence: Victor wants Nick to gently intervene AND chastises Adam about being more understanding AND wants to find a way to fix the situation, while still sparing Victoria’s delicate feelings??? Whaaaat??? Is Victoria a fully functioning CEO & mature adult… Read more »

One of the most unfair, oddest things to me was Adam taking a rap for POSSIBLY taking the bait from Billy to publish a fake story on his drinking and melting down all over town when he was supposedly sound as a judge. Adam never intended to go to print, completly basically ignored the whole thing and now pops is holding him responsible for what he might have done, but certainly didn’t! Poor Adam. Totally helpless to the imaginations of others. OUTRAGEOUS.

Thank you! I’m so glad somebody read this before it gets erased tomorrow because it is so true. I feel passionately about it.

So True, about how Victor treated Adam so unfairly and it was Victoria who lied about stopping Billy. This matter still needs to be addressed. By the way, I am still not feeling bad for Victoria. It is called Karma. She treats people badly, especially Adam and he is expected to just suck it up. I think not.

I was actually ok with only 3 Y&R this week – I felt like these episodes skipped all the stuff I really cannot stand to watch (Noah’s weirdness, Tariah weird circus wedding planning, Baby Dominate, bad acting from his mama – oops suppose to keep that too myself, Billy’s nonsense..) I think Ally’s crush on Nate is influencing me – Sigh – Nate is sort of dreamy, especially watching him get to actually do something this week when he stood up to Ashland. The actor really skis underused!

I had such a big smile on my face when Ally mentioned she is watching the Monkeys – I have such fond memories of watching them as well as watching Gidget movies. The memories made me want to just go sit and binge all my old faves from bygone days MASH, Mission Impossible, The 6 Million$ Man, The 6 Million $ Woman, Wonder Woman… Sigh – these shows really marked my childhood.

Slight Correction Herman, the show was not The Six Million Dollar Woman it was called The Bonic Woman. The reason being it only cost three million to repair Jamie Summers as opposed to the six million for Steve Austin. She had smaller parts according to Oscar Godman. So it wasn’t as much.

Ali, we love The Monkees too! I joined the Davy Jones fan club as a teenager in 1986 when he was in town signing his autobiography. Yes, Y&R and 60s sitcoms go very well together. If you get a chance, I also recommend from the 60s “Hawaiian Eye” starring Robert Conrad.
It’s spring break for us in central Florida & I went to Legoland; pleasantly surprised that I didn’t miss an episode Thurs& Friday.

Are you aware that Tyson Apostle from Survivor is a huge pickleball, and is now a pickleball influencer? I listen to him on the RHAP podcast News AF, and there is quite a bit of pickleball talk, not about the game itself, but funny little comments about pickleball in his life.

Pickleball is fun. Tennis is my favorite sport, but I do enjoy pickleball too. And Ali: Rafa is RAFAEL NADAL—from Spain. The GOAT—Greatest Of All Time, on the men’s side.

It’s not even my Y&R that get preempted for March Madness, but I watch almost all CBS, and they has nothing but reruns on at night during March Madness. That’s funny you are watching the Monkeys, I have been doing a Bewitched watch.
