Thanks for your awesome podcasts – you are appreciated!
Um, Ali. I know I used to comment about Nick and his hair. I don’t like it short. I said I wouldn’t mention it again, but just one more – I have been listening to your early podcast episodes. In your Y&R Chat of April 11, 2011, and you were expressing a fondness for Nick, mentioning his “long and shaggy hair.”
Hi. Last week I mentioned entire show recaps from wikipedia and soaps.sheknows.com I printed them and read. I have been watching since the beginning, ut I had forgotten about Victoria and Cole having a son. Unresolved paternity (in my opinion) 1-Paul’s son Ricky is really Michael’s son. 2-Chloe’s daughter Bella is really Billy’s daughter. I miss Brad Carlton, although I don’t remember the storyline with his mother and the Nazis. Neil’s mother storyline could have been great. It was a couple of episodes with no backstory, and no future. And I am still and always have been confused by all… Read more »
Always nice listening to you, stay safe.
Adam will never get the upper hand with Victor. Did you the smirk on Victor’s face at Society when Adam thought he had him?
Lola did tell Theo that Rey is going through a lot right now and she wants to be there for him if he needed anything.
I think Lola backed out of New York with no underlining reasons and I think Theo accepted that in the same spirit. The problem is that when L&T are ready for their trip they will find the Big Apple very much shut down with no immediate re-opening date in sight!
This made me laugh lol
me too
Dear Ali: I came across something that I thought might interest you and the YRChat community. Last Friday when a classic episode of “The Young and the Restless” was broadcast I noticed the fact that while the original Chris Brooks appeared on the show as well as the actress who played her mother-in-law Mrs. Foster, the woman who Leslie, Chris’s sister was, however, played by a different actress. Originally Leslie was played by Janice Lynde in the first years few years of the show and, apparently, by 1984, the year this episode was recorded, she decided to hand in her… Read more »
Zoperxplex, you might expect I am dying to chime in: This is a fantastic Tony Rizzo flashback piece. I am in simpatico with all that is written here and recall & understand all the emotions expressed. It used to be said Janice Lynde was a b—-, and hard to work with, but you know how that goes. From who’s perspective? The idea scandalizes me. Janice is right about her scared mouse into a butterfly Brook’s sister act. Off go the big horn rimmed glasses! Her blossoming was one of Y&R’s most compelling early drawn out stories. I’ve referred to Leslie’s… Read more »
I barely remembered her but once I was a photo of Ms. Lynde taken back in the day when she was still playing Leslie the tenuous chords of memory suddenly sprang into action. What I do recall was that she was a sensible, down to earth character who harbored no illusions about the nature of love and mankind whereas her sister Chris went about life as if she had stars in her eyes and displayed a naive, saccharine sweet but firm commitment to the belief that her fellow man was fundamentally good. That being said I really appreciate the backstory… Read more »
You nailed Chris Brooks to a tee. Ripe for getting raped and having all that questioned…
Bye the way…Lorie appeared to be such a meanie.
Yes, at Vic & Nikki’s wedding she swept down the stairs haughty and once seated, switched to catty. All managed with great finesse since she hardy said anything…
LOL, I still think a hot romance with the kid who was your childhood pal—ex. Kyle & Summer—is a bit incestuous! But that’s just me apparently! And, of course, I see no drama in the Victor vs Adam feud (because it’s written into Eric Braeden’s contract that he always gets to win). C’mon, let my guy Adam win! Oy, again I will have to listen to Victor yell—“I built this company from the ground up, boy”! Yawn. I will be hitting fast forward or listening while doing dishes rather than watching those scenes. Let’s have new stories for Victor’s retirement… Read more »
YOU WILL BE SINGING AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT TUNE IF YOUR BOY ADAM WINS!! (“3Adams”) !!!
Honestly, no one wants to be subjected to my singing voice—but I could commission my talented brother to write “The Ballad of Three Adams”. One dark, one blond, one Jughead. Hmmm, will have to do better by Mark Grossman—I really do like him, but that cowlick is a bit distracting…
Is C.B.S. going to continue broadcasting repeats or will they show new episodes intermingling them with classic shows for Friday?
