I believe the reason for all of the recent flashbacks is a result of the deletion of filmed scenes of the Abby, Chance, Mariah, Devon etc storyline. The viewers LOATHE this Abby Baby storyline and have let Y and R know it! I think Gary answered the question why there are fewer surprise pregnancies than before and that is the result of the show reflecting modern realities. It was no longer credible to expect 21st century couples getting accidentally pregnant because so many fertile couples today are either on the pill or undertake other precautions necessary to avoid fertilization.

Thank you, Zoperxplex, and I recall you put the frosting on my comment as well. What we have here are two geniuses.

I have to agree with you. Sharon’s cottage looks very cozy. It looks like the kind of home most people would prefer if they had the option of designing their ideal residence. No cheap drywall separating livings spaces from bedrooms. Solid stone walls that suggests a permanence, a hearkening of old, medieval castles of Europe. You get the feeling that this home was intended to be a step above your typical American home.
