Abby really can’t win. So which is it? Are we mad at her for being too involved, overbearing and intrusive with Mariah during the pregnancy? Or are we mad at her for not meeting all of Mariah’s needs now that the baby is born and she is having a difficult postpartum adjustment? Huh? Abby is the mother of a newborn, not Mariah’s mother. Completely agreed. It’s sad, but true: Bowie doesn’t, nor ever really did, exist except as Mariah’s projection onto the baby that she carried for Abby. My heart does break for Mariah, while I can still feel happiness for Abby and baby. And I think you’re right; Abby can’t win, but it seems she’s handled things remarkably well as they go. After all, there’s no play-by-play rule book for the situation at hand.
I’m glad I’m not alone! Abby has never been among my favorite characters, but the writers really seem to enjoy kicking her around. She has lots of money to dry her tears, but she has lead a pretty lonely life. I wonder if they will ever let her have a truly happy relationship that lasts for a while or give her a close friend that has her back. She keeps trying no matter what—I do l like that about her.
Nate won’t be operating on Naya or anyone else. Last we knew his hand was permanently damaged by his emotionally stunted cousin Devon who still hasn’t apologized for acting like a Neanderthal.
Maybe this is the time that Billy/Adam Vegas secret should be revealed. This then should be the time for Billy to BACK OFF.
