I just saw online that the new writing for the Young and Restless will begin on November 11. The one storyline I don’t want the writers to eliminate is Kyle and Victoria‘s budding romance. They have mad chemistry and glue me to my screen. Thanks for this one, Josh Griffith.

Does anyone know what flag we saw way up high when Billy walked around the corner into the Chancellor Park cafe? I thought it was the Canadian flag, as it was red and white. I had to rewind it multiple times as I didn’t think it would make sense. But then I wondered if it was there as a tribute to the actor, Jason Thompson, as he is Canadian and there has been tension between the US and Canada. I thought maybe it is a shout-out to fellow Canadians who watch the show! I looked at it several times but… Read more »

Did Patty make it to Fenmores for her favorite purtrid perfume after escaping the prison hospital psycho ward into freedom.? Well, its a soap, SueW.

She also located her signature animal print top and matching brown sportswear from the local giveaway box.

Connie, do you happen to know if those were DESIGNER sunglasses?

The play of next week’s coming attractions looked odd. Focusing on a few moods with no exciting action or drama.

Will Patty give Jack the Heimlich Manwuver and become the town hero?

Jack’s attack is part of their plan to get Patty to lure her to the hospital

Adam’s subtly changed his hair again. Before it was a big swoop bang, now he’s mirroring Rod Stewart.

Well, I hope Marie is not really gone. Not sure why they would just get rid of her, there’s a lot they could do with her character.

Phyllis picked up Patty’s peepers and perfume!

Marie if she is gone for good will probably end up dead of an overdose. She isn’t strong enough to stay away from the drugs.

So far, Patty’s return has been idiotic The only reason I can think of to bring her back as hospital escapee is for Jack to get some kind of triumph over her as opposed to she having left with he as her victim. Jack must outsmart, outwit her in some kind of way to bring Patty to her knees. Is she even back for the Abbotts or just as a side-kick for Roger Howworth? An insult to viewer intelligence, but are we all not way past being offended?

Heart attack: real or contrived? First the side grab—a nice nod to his recent stabbing and potential internal bleeding. But then we got the full chest clutch, the universal TV shorthand for “cardiac event” right before fading to black. Or was this whole collapse actually part of the plan to trap Patty?! Honestly, where’s Matt when you need him? There were actually two people in the background grabbing their phones! The lady was clearly a Society employee, but that younger guy standing in the middle of the room? 100% a former customer who owes his life to Matt’s drug dealer… Read more »

When the writers introduced Marie—complete with her full frontal participation in the wardrobe wars—it certainly looked like she was being set up as Nick’s next long-term emotional anchor. Her sudden exit back East to “recover with her parents” feels like a storyline pivot dictated by low fan reaction metrics. (Seriously, where do the rest of us get to vote?!) I’m looking forward to her surprise return, mysteriously landing a waitress gig at Society, and walking up to Nick, Sharon, and Phyllis’ table to take their drink orders. Of course, this would inevitably lead to the Riverbank Motel and an uncomfortable… Read more »

I think? she’ll be back. Guessing that shows are filmed far enough in advance to not shift quickly (or at all) based on early fan reactions. Doesn’t seem Marie’s been around all that long for any of that to take mich hold anyway. But Idrk…

Matt and Phyllis’ plan was the Heimlich manoeuvre?! And what was she supposed to be choking on? A piece of celery from her Bloody Mary? Are you kidding me?! Did either of them stop to think about how this plays out in real time? Someone at the table notices Phyllis “choking,” Matt dramatically charges in to perform the Heimlich, an aggressive, unnecessary back-hug in the middle of the dining room while everyone watches her cough up pure air. No wonder Matt chickened out. When a guy who blew up a gas station thinks your rescue plot is too unhinged, there… Read more »

When Matt lost his temper or maybe dropped his nice guy meek facade it was a relief. He may still be a changed man and have to make tough choices to continue his path to acceptance BUT at least he is being himself. He was never mild mannered. He was a tough guy not a goofy Gomer Pyle. I prefer his tough guy personality that is in a battle between his devil on one shoulder and angel on the other. Connie offered this description first – thank you Connie!

I appreciate your comment and I kept thinking about Ali’s keen observation that we are being led to feel sorry for him. His redemption story is eminent and we are seeing the beginnings of his new chapter. I’m still extremely skeptical but, this roller coaster ride should be good.

I agree – “goofy Gomer Pyle” is exactly the ‘aw shucks, little ol’ me?” way he’s been acting. But kinda cringey and ‘off’ feeling… hard to believe that Phyllis has really been buying into it…

Sharon is looking at Phyllis in such bewilderment. Is she trying to what shade of yellow is that dress Phyllis is wearing? Banana maybe?

My high school colors are blue and gold. Homecoming was last week and that neon yellow would definitely stand out in the bleachers and be visible from the opposing side of the stadium.

Phyllis, turn around – there’s a handsome middle aged man sipping coffee and looking at his phone! Focus on this guy, much less complicated and he’s nice looking too!
