am also confused by the “plot” Jeremy has cooked up. How does this benefit Phyllis? It doesn’t. She’s lost everything. It doesn’t make sense that Phyllis would go along with this. All to pin the “crime” on Diane? Make it make sense, please?

When will Tara come back to claim “Summer’s” son? I hate the way she refers to Harrison as hers.

Phyllis and Diane (well, Old School Diane at least since we aren’t sure about New Diane yet) — two scheming women who will do anything to get what they want, play the victim when things aren’t going their way, justify their own extreme and even illegal actions to gain the upper hand, have framed the other for a crime she didn’t commit (Diane framed Phyllis for setting and fire and trying to kill her years ago, and Phyllis is now trying to frame Diane for Phyllis’s “death”), and have faked their own deaths. Yet, each contends the other is vile,… Read more »

My hope is that the storyline of Phyllis’ death will come to a quick conclusion! I think Gary has seen a future clip where Phyllis will attend her own memorial service. Hopefully she will be found out soon after that. I will be so glad when they [writers] bring closure to this “wacky storyline.” To quote the old Popeye the Sailor cartoon….”That’s all I can stands and I can’t stands no more!” 🙂

Very fine post. I saw no advanced clip but its preety much a forgone conclusion for Phyllis to attend her own funeral. She will see all the untold grief and think twice about the choice she has made. Alack, stuck in death! From which no one comes back from….

Ellen ! What a “great catch!” If you other “Chatters” didn’t read Ellen’s post, I found it to be a great discovery……a “blooper” if you will. When Phyllis was giving her sarcastic clap followed by a collapse, how was she minutes later holding the engagement ring in her hand? If you guys are like me, that went right over my head! Once again, great catch Ellen! 🙂

Thanks Henry. I think we were all kind of shaking our heads this week at all the implausible things we were witnessing. And soaps are usually so realistic!!!! I’m just girding my loins for next week when the “I’m scared of Diane” phone call from Phyllis is considered to be damning evidence. Sure, Phyllis with the sarcastic clapping while holding a ring sure looked “terrified”. Am I going to have to start day drinking at 12:30 eastern time???

I am very happy that Y&R is still using the set of of the Athletic Club restaurant and hotel. It is nice to see these large sets like we used to on Y&R. The Athletic Club is classy and has a lot of character on top of having nostalgia. I hope we can enjoy seeing these sets for a long while.

Thanks to Ali and Y&R chat I am just realizing I missed watching an episode of Y&R when I saw the picture of Chance and Abby at the coffee house. For some reason, all the episodes of Y&R don’t always record. Having said that, I loved Lily’s purple velvet jacket she was wearing. That shade of purple is a beautiful colour and the jacket style was very nice. LIly is one of the best dressed characters on the show. as is Abby.

I want to see Phyllis double cross Jeremy by pinning the whole plot in him, complete with him having kidnapped her and in doing so he faked her death by force. This soapy turn would allow Phyllis to kick off her redemption tour while leaving the future open for Jeremy to return as a super villain in the distant future…….long after Phyllis is fully redeemed and out of the judgement time zone for her dirty Diane deeds. A girl can dream, lol.

In previews, Phyllis is already on the lamb to attend her own funeral. If only she could get caught right from the start and we could be done with it. In bad news, Lucy is back and likely to stay in town forever.

Nope, no one under 35 is allowed to stay within city limits long term. She will be shipped off to college or rehab before long.

Chance Chancellor has never wanted any confrontation with Abby and treats her like she doesn’t exist

Abby was the only person who believed Chance was alive and searched for him in Timbuktu or wherever he was. She never gets any credit for her good qualities and gets dragged forever for her faults.

Yes, there was never such devotion as Abby extended to her love, Chance Chancellor. That’s why this is all so troubling now.

Ironically, This storyline of Abby and Devon becoming a couple was at the suggestion of the actress Melissa Ordway, she stated in the interview at the 50th Anniversary Party for Y&R, that this has been 10 years in the making. That’s how long she has asked for this.

Do you see them with any particular chemistry – as actors or characters?

Dp people recall that Diane stole Jack’s sperm to make Kyle? I did not. It is just one of those soap opera things…

Really? Did Ashley & Diane have a sperm stealing club? Did they have strategy meetings? Was Diane better at it and that’s why Ashley is so mad at DeeDee?

Careful Adam, you are showing concern and asking thoughtful questions. We are supposed to believe you are a horrible selfish monster.

Naw, I don’t think the audience is supposed to think that. But much of GC do.

Johnny and Katie sighting!!!! I saw their photos in Victoria’s office! They exist! Now let us continue our quest for proof of life for one Christian (middle name?) Newman.

Fans wanting Adam and Sally back together must be chompin’ at the bit w/all the focus on Phyllis and Diane. Such fans seem due a reunion alá Steffy and Finns’: swelling music, clawing embraces, bumbling explanations of endless love, and teary disbelief in dreams coming true. (Aww.) If that is the end-game, YnR better hurry it up or lose whatever momentum for it still exists. Or – the A/S reunion may well result from a weepy, melodramatic birth of their baby (already known by viewers as ‘Hope,’ lol) – alá Summer’s elevator delivery. And there’s still Ali’s miscarriage theory. Anyway,… Read more »

Sharod has long thought I’m crazy for this, but I still keep thinking the A/S baby story must eventually tie in w/the Teriah baby story… ok, I guess I need to let that go. (Shoulda woulda coulda been a good one…)

Well sueW, In a way you will be correct about Teriah baby being tied into Ally’s baby story. But for me and Teriah Fans, not in a good way. It seems that once again Teriah will be used as second fiddles to prop up the straight couples in this town, first it was Kyle and Lola, then it was Devon and Elena, later Abby and Chance and now Sally and Adam. There is a photo in Soap Opera Digest with Sally at the baby stroller of Mariah and Tessa’s baby. We haven’t even seen them with their daughter. But Y&R… Read more »

Hmmmm, they ended the week with Adam saying “the bond is unbreakable”— and clearly he wasn’t talking to Sally only about parent and child. There is more to come with #Ally, I think. And poor Connor—unalive, re-alive, older half-brothers, new half-sisters? There could be story there if this were a family show, but no one under 35 is allowed on set.
