If we must have this story let Nick fall hard and fast. I would like to see Jack or Phyllis help Nick by taking him to the Abbott cabin for the tough love cold turkey method. I think Phyllis is the one that sees Nick clearly and she has the grit to see him through. Nick can be explosive and it would be compelling to have Phyllis absorb his tirades without flinching as only Phyllis can do. They can come through the ordeal as two friends with a “deep connection”.
I voted spiral. If Y&R is going to go there, then let them fully go there and have Nick spiral. Joshua Morrow is a fantastic actor and let him do what he can with this story! We will at some point get back to funny dad joke Nick we all enjoy and love.
Spiral! Let Josh Morrow run w/it! While nobody does ‘Dad jokes’ better (nor looks so dang hot doing so), I love seeing the actor expand beyond being sexy, affable, or throwing a hot-headed punch here and there. I seem to remember he did a great and gritty job back during the darker ‘Dark Horse’ storyline. (I think that’s what it was called…)
I voted spiral out for the drama. I also hope if Sienna is gonna stick around that she will help Nick off the drugs which will lead to a romance between the two.
I wouldn’t mind seeing Nick spiral out for a while. They have taken Nikki down some pretty dark paths and this would be a great story for her and Nick to deal with. Maybe Nick could even be forced to turn to Matt Clark for his fix if he can’t find his pills on the playground at Walnut Grove, that is.
Yes, surely Matt Clark will be back for Nick’s addiction story – and yup, maybe as his supplier. Or maybe Matt will actually ‘save the Nick day’ and earn redemption (well, semi-redemption of sorts?) from the Newmans.
Would rather see Nick overcome this drug issue quickly, although he is now taking Fentanyl which is not good. He can easily overdose. He needs rehab already and the doctor should check his leg to see why he still has pain so long after the surgery.
