I hope there’s ANOTHER document that either reveals Billy’s true parentage or that somehow Victor Newman is the rightful owner of Chancellor AND Jabot. Please let more to be revealed than just an unpaid loan. I am sick of Billy and I am sick of his tiresome arguments with Jill. She’s a tough broad and didn’t kiss your owies when you were a kid, Billy. Big deal, get over it.
Fantastic comment, Naomi! Would love Victor Newman to be the rightful owner of Chancellor and Jabot, as you stated!! And I’m also tired of Billy’s arguments with Jill. She’s been ill for a long time; which means that Billy should give her some leeway. He may have recently actually lost his mom to her illness; but he still wants to always have the last word to be happy! And….moving forward, I’m not sure Sally will be happy with his behavior as of late!!!

Billy has gone off half cocked again, as usual. Declaring to Lilly and Cane that Chancellor belongs to the Abbot’s without even taking this to an attorney or judge…ridiculous. I’m getting some vibes from Stephanie and Nate again. Is Stephanie wondering if Nate’s other parts are working better than his surgery hand? The Abbots are talking about Billy wanting his autonomy at a company, not working under someone. He created Abbot Communications and would have been at the top of that company, but yet again, at the slightest chance of getting Chancellor, he tossed Abbot Communications to Sally and ended… Read more »
Half cocked is right. Billy always claims he didn’t mean to tell someone something, as if, it makes it okay. Billy is the less strategic Abbott. Also, he is all bluster, but no substance. I’d love to root for him, but the way he has been written it is hard to. Billy is a frustrating character.
It seems like Billy is assuming that just because he found an agreement John made, he automatically gets to enforce it—and decide the remedy too. But sincr that agreement is part of John’s estate, it would be something for the executor, Jack Abbott, to deal with? Jack has a duty to act in the best interests of the estate, not Billy’s personal interests, and could decide that the best resolution is simply to have the loan repaid in full with interest. Billy may have found Dad’s document, but he doesn’t get to decide what happens to it. If he disagrees… Read more »
Jack would probably suggest that Lily just pay back the loan with interest. If she agrees, he’d go to the probate court to get guidance and approval so Billy can make his case. Since courts usually don’t like enforcing forfeitures when the issue can be fixed with money, I don’t think the probate court would have a problem with that kind of settlement. Billy might think that deal gives him Chancellor, but if Jack is offering to settle the estate’s claim for the debt plus interest, Billy’s real option would be to challenge Jack’s decision—not just take Chancellor from Lily.
Reality is much more dramatic than this storyline. Jack gives Lily the take-it-or-leave-it proposition: repay John’s old loan in full, with interest, or he’ll sue to take the shares. Lily and Devon can then sit down with Amanda, reluctantly admit that it may be the only sensible option, and grudgingly accept. Jack holds a family meeting—and Billy launches into orbit. Billy still gets his day in court to argue the shares should be forfeited, while Jack argues that the settlement is reasonable given the risks. Suddenly we have an actual legal and family drama: Jack protecting John’s estate, Lily hating… Read more »

Nate melts my butter… and my grilled cheese!
hahaha Nana sayings. Does he brown your buns and flap your jacks?
