It’s great to see Mariah back, looking great, and so positive. She was so dark for so long it was painful to see. Did they wrap up the whole Patty/Larry storyline in one episode? That’s a nice little touch, Sharon replaced all the sweet-n-low and Splenda with fentanyl packs. A new way to balance out those espresso jitters. In that outdoor lighting, on my tv at least, Jack’s makeup is waaaaaay too dark. He looks like he retired to Florida and has been at the beach every single day. Diane’s looked natural and soft. Victoria’s plea for peace — aka “please let my father put a knife between yours’ ribs without consequences” — might have just killed whatever spark was left with Kyle. To his credit, Kyle actually seems to understand there’s a razor-thin line between deterrence, revenge, and flat-out enabling bad behaviour. Now, about that “fresh start” in Venice… What we need is Detective Burrow interrupting that honeymoon sendoff with a pair of handcuffs and charges of attempted murder and kidnapping for Victor.
