Have Victoria and Tucker ever been a thing, because they look good together. Plus he’s just her type, playful troublemaker with $.

I hope the show gives us more stories about their actual work they do at the companies. It would make the story lines about the companies a lot more interesting if we could dig deeper into what they actually do at work. This would be the perfect time to see Adam working at Jabot now that Victor has planned to take Adam down with Kyle’s help. We get enough of their personal lives but not enough of their work life. There needs to be more a balance to make the story lines compelling and realistic. We need to see the… Read more »

I feel the opposite. We get little of their personal lives but a LOT OF TALK about their business lives. For credibility the show highlights dialogue about the intrigue of their companies but doesn’t actually show anything. Seems like half the show was taken up Friday with fake business information we need to know including Daniel continuing to elaborate in full about his new video game.

I agree. The show back in the day, did exactly what you are talking about. That is what made Y&R, so compelling back in the 80’s and 90’s. We got a lot of both, the personal and the professional.

It looked like the scene with Sally on the phone with NIck from L.A. was a real room at the studio and not a set. It appeared to be a meeting room where the executives meet or take their breaks. It was nice to see a real life view out of the window and not an artificial one. It was nice to see the view of the city in the background.

I loved seeing the tribute to the character of Lauren being on the show for 40 years. I remember being hooked on the show as a kid when the story line of Shawn Garrett took place. He was obsessed with Lauren and then ended up burying her alive. It was so sad as she had to pretend she didn’t want to be with Paul anymore. I still remember the reunion of Paul and Lauren after he saved her. They took a hot steamy shower together with passionate kissing. It was an exciting and fulfilling ending to the storyline after all… Read more »

I noticed when Lauren was reminiscing about her life, she never once mentioned about Sheila’s sister making herself up to look exactly like Lauren and being kidnapped by her. That would have definitely been something to share with the family if that happened in real life. I can understand why the show didn’t incorporate that story line into her tribute. They obviously want everyone to forget that ever took place as it was too over the top and unrealistic.

Also, it was unrealistic that Paul wouldn’t have been at Lauren’s celebration. I appreciated they had Phyllis there as she supposed to be Lauren’s best friend. The show really needs to figure out what they are going to do with the character of Paul instead of just using his name repeatedly off screen as if he is still around.

It would be very hard to include that bit of info and a streach for Fen’s new boyfriend to learn about so soon. Too much information and Y&R hopes you will forget that twist ever happened as all soap ‘makeovers’ are completely preposterous to say the VERY least. No one can be believably molded into another person’s face, body, hair texture and speaking voice. Who already knows this?

It would be so great to see Fen rejoin the show – we need new storylines and new characters that are younger and more relevant. Plus, it would be great for Summer to have a true friend. BTW, I’m digging Tucker’s Dr. Devil & Mr. Monk routine. There are two storylines that are NOT doing it for me right now. 1. Sally/Nick – I’m definitely Team Adam so I may be bias, but Sally and Nick feel so forced. Ali, you were right, Nick has an odd “fatherly” vibe with her. 2. Phyllis. Ugh. I find it hard to have… Read more »

Loved seeing Fen with a boyfriend! So sweet. Actually loved seeing all the Baldwin/Fishers. I wish they were all consistently on the show still but I guess I’ll take what we can get!

Totally agree. The Baldwin/Fisher clan is so much more interesting than some of the others on the show. I’d love more of them instead of the Devon/Lily drama.

Back to watching Y&R after a month. Loved the episode dedicated to Lauren. That was the only episode that was great this week. I hope the writers do something to surprise us. After all, the 50th anniversary is fast approaching.

Turned on the TV this morning and there’s Eric Braeden on Diagnosis Murder. Other Y&R stars are on also. It’s season 2 episode 21 if anyone wants to see it.

I’m enjoying Sean D. more and more all the time as he plays Nate as enjoying himself more and more all the time! Nate is confident and full of himself – and quite fun to watch! (Umm hmm, Audra…?)

People heap these terrible character attacks on Nate and he just keeps sitting there calmly behind a desk, or wherever. It would seem to go in one ear and out the other, but passive/agressive its in there stewing in the back of his head. But Nate is not one to ever loose control and go postal even when his true feelings rise to the surface. Devon destroys the medical career of a fine surgeon and now it is Devon who will never forgive Nate. Behind a solid mask of rationality Devon is a little boy wanting everything his own way.… Read more »

There are a lot of negatives I agree w/ about Devon’s beliefs, choices, and actions. But I can’t write him completely as a total jerk… I actually do understand and agree w/some of his viewpoints… I just get confused on which ones, lol. But I like having his divisive character on the show.

I think that’s it—he’s divisive. He seems to think things over carefully and come to the conclusion that he has nothing to apologize for—ever. He only sees that he supposedly built a great company with Neil (when was that exactly???). He cheated with Neil’s wife when Neil was BLIND! He ruined Nate’s hand! He sent Lily to prison over an accident. He helped break up Abby’s marriage. He’s backing out of his commitment to Jill & Lily with the merger—as if lawyers can’t structure a successful IPO. But it’s always someone else’s fault. If he would be sorry and take… Read more »

I couldn’t believe it, but I agreed with Abbys take on things. Devon thinks everyone will back down to his ruthless ways. The lesson he seems to have taken from Neil are way off. Too bad he can’t get a refresher straight from the source.

Cracks me up how people in GC just appear at others’ homes (or hotel rooms, loll, knocking on the door. Nobody does that in real life! Texting first, anyone?!

As moderns they text each other all day long for social relevance but never before spontaniously dropping in on you at your front door. A no no since time immemorial. If you do not feel prepared for a visitor and pretend you are not home you are left to feel you are the offender as opposed to the unwanted potencial company. A mind game. I would be interested in seeing a portrayal of a self actualized normal person with no agenda against the other hit the lights & refuse to answer the knock at the door because they are otherwise… Read more »

Sleek LA indeed! GC sure looks frumpy in comparison. I’ve been known to pretend to be “unavailable” when someone knocks on my door. Could be a serial killer out here in the boondocks. Just being careful. Where is that pepper spray anyway?
