so i was out this past week and just breezed through all 5 episodes in one sitting. Courtney Hope (Sally) stole the show and there is A LOT going on with everyone. The way she flipped from newly “dumped” to impress the boss and job preservation mode was awesome. I felt the tears weren’t an approach to to change Victorias mind (which she felt was already made up at the press conference), but more still processing Adams visit.

I think Billy’s white slacks and pale blue sweater had a Dean Martin rat pack vibe, I could picture them having a drink at the Athletic Club. Billy ordering his Scotch neat and probably a martini for Dean. We need Victor back. At the athletic club, he looks silly sitting around at Society

I look forward to watching Chelsea and Billy begin to grow closer now that they are working together. I am very happy that Chelsea is on the show and that Y&R has kept her on and given her a new story line. It is going to be very interesting and exciting to see Lily’s reaction as Billy and Chelsea gradually begin to bond both professionally and personally. Billy and Chelsea both share the bond of a son together that Lily can’t compete with. It will also be interesting to see Victoria’s reaction as well. This story line makes me want… Read more »
I think Chelsea may become obsessed with Billy ,but Billy will still want Lily. Chelsea is going to want to get close to Johhny. Billy and Victoria both won’t want that. Chelsea may even tell Johnny she is his real mother. I don’t think Billy wants anything to get romantic with Chelsea
I would enjoy that story line also, but I would like to see Billy eventually fall for Chelsea.

I don’t know why Adam had to really break things off with Sallly? Why not let the family only think that their relationship had ended. I believe Adam and Sally could have continued their relationship in private, while still having convinced Victoria and NIck to keep Sally on as C.E.O of Newman Enterprises. I guess Adam felt that their break up wouldn’t have been believable enough without actually dumping Sally for real. At the same time, I don’t know how Adam could have been so cruel to Sally when he loves her. I understand his reasoning, of his actions as… Read more »
Adam didn’t mean any of the cruel things he said to Sally. He did dump her so it would all be believable, and it worked. She did keep her CEO position and hired Chloe as she wanted . But how long can Adam and Sally stay away from each other. I hope not for long. I like them as a couple
As I mentioned in the previous post, I thought the storm was well done and felt realistic. What didn’t make sense though was we could see the weather was stormy when Noah and Nick were talking on the patio at the coffee shop. We also saw the intensity of the storm at Victoria’s home as the doors were rattling and the wind was blowing hard. Somehow when Noah went on his date with Allie on the rooftop bar the weather was perfectly fine on the same evening. i thought Noah was going to cancel the date due to the weather.… Read more »

I have really been enjoying Y&R these past couple of weeks. I really appreciated seeing Victoria’s home again! It has been so long. It felt like a real home as we saw many different rooms in the house from different angles which made it a pleasure to watch. We have never seen Victoria’s foyer from the angle we saw it this week. It felt like a different set all together. The area where Victoria was sitting on her laptop was also really neat to see. Her home looked very large and did not feel like a set. I also really… Read more »
I agree and really enjoyed the show this week. I get so frustrated with Victoria but get drawn right in to her drama. I loved seeing her in her own home, she was so beautiful in all white and dark hair surrounding her face. Just as with the JT story she’s putting on a brave front but is afraid. Her fear resonates with me. Whatever this actress is asked to portray I’m always right in the moment with her. I can’t begin to guess what will happen with Ashland and Victoria on this dark and stormy night. And I’m worried… Read more »
Wow. That was some Friday cliff hanger. Reminds me of the old days of soaps. Nicely done writers!

I liked the outfit Billy had on with the white pants and blue top today. We don’t see our men in light colors often. I haven’t posted in awhile, just happened to catch today’s ep. Frankly the show has bored me ever since Diane came back after getting my hopes up for Keemo. I was never a Diane fan, don’t love to hate her, just boring, and I was glad when she left last time. Between her arrival and the Ashland change, nothing has been as good for me.
Good observation on Billy’s outfit- I totally agree.

I’m trying to like Noah and Allie together – I really am – but still not past my initial ‘eh.’ Comme ci, comme ça. I guess there’s chemistry? I mean, Noah could generate smoke w/a statue, and Allie IS sweet and appealing. The actor portraying Noah seems very natural to me, but I do still think the actress portraying Allie often projects as though she was performing on a stage, rather than playing to the small screen – and that always pulls me out of the moment. (HATE to ‘catch’ actors acting…) Idk, somehow to me, Noah and Allie just… Read more »
I still believe that Allie is out to do harm to The Abbotts. She told Ashley she may seem naive. But she is not and that nobody manipulates her. So,
for me, the question becomes. Did Allie realize that The Abbotts and everyone in Genoa City would be so focused on Diane and her misdeeds that they will not realize what she was truly doing? Allie gave up her life in LA pretty fast and is already working in The Chem Lab at Jabot. Anybody heard of the word sabotage.
Now there’s a story I would enjoy! Anything to bring something more to the whole ‘golly, gee’ vibe that’s been hovering about Allie and every one of her scenes. If Allie’s act IS all an act, then kudos to the actress for sucking me in w/her (what I see as) often amateurish portrayal of ‘can’t believe my good fortune’ Allie. And then – kudos would also be due to a savvy Allie pulling the wool over all of her new-found GC ‘TeamDarlingAllie’ eyes. I’m gonna be on the look-out for this now, Sharod!
I completely agree with you Sue. The actress does act like she is in a play. She is not the best actress. It doesn’t seem natural. Her acting seems to be improving from when she first came on the show, but still feels like it’s acting. I am enjoying her and Noah as a couple despite her acting ability.

NICK BLASTS MARIAH & TESSA AS A “QUIRKY, FUN LOVING COUPLE” WHICH I WOULD SAY IS ABOUT RIGHT.
I feel the two lack proper character developement. Y&R is always making a stab at further evolving them but feel they come up short. Sharod, how outraged are you to not get to see the on camera gory surgery of Tessa’s nodule being removed? Kay Chancellor gets her own face-lift but no throat surgery for Tessa Porter. No, I’m not trying to stir up trouble. Just asking…
No worries my Chatter Friend. Y&R has gotten the “brownie points” they needed from Tessa and Mariah with the wedding. Also, I know that when we watch our soaps we want to be taken from reality. But sadly these actors are real people. And after the wedding was shot and during press interviews Cait(Tessa) said something that hurt Camryn(Mariah) feelings, that played into the hands that straight people should not play Gay Characters as Camryn’s Fiancee, Brock Powell had stated. They are both Bi. Not sure if you or most viewers, even noticed, that for newlyweds, these two have not… Read more »
Interesting. I will say, pros that the 2 actresses are, I haven’t picked up on any awkwardness/tension that may have spilled into their scenes. Teriah’s bond seems as on point as always to me.
As a Huge Teriah, as well as Cait and Camryn Fan. I’ve noticed the difference in Camryn’s behavior. It was quite noticeable to me when Mariah was giving Tessa her drink, when they were on the rooftop, with Noah and Allie. It was an awkward exchange. Tessa goes to get her drink from Mariah. She was saying thank you as she was taking her drink, but Mariah barely acknowledged or looked in her direction. I don’t think Camryn realized that the camera was on them at that moment. I believe she thought the shot was focused on Noah and Allie.… Read more »
I haven’t noticed any awkwardness between these two actors. I’ve seen maybe one joint interview post-wedding and they seemed as comfortable with each other as ever. Can you point me to the interview(s) you’re referring to? Also, re: Brock’s comment, I also hadn’t seen that. There’s a segment of any community that wants only that community to represent themselves, but that’s certainly not universal. Cait is definitely an LGBTQ+ ally.
The interview is with James Lott Jr. On his jlj media channel. And Brock made the comments on his Twitter page back in May. And Yes, Cait is a tremendous ally to the LGBTQIA COMMUNITY. I understood what she was trying to say. But some from the community got offended. Hence she has deleted her Twitter account.

I saw the blue in the tight shot and was so surprised when Victoria walked through the front door of her own house! ‘What is this?’, I’m wondering from the first full shot where you can see down the way. ‘This doesn’t look like the back kitchen door that is only utilized now…” A 3rd shot reveals Victoria’s full front living room door with the staircase behind it back in service as if it had never been dismantled before. Victoria seen in her house is of value as it is the one thing that helps soften her a bit. It is not a steely cold blooded structure like say Billy’s condo but reflects the human touch of the person who resides inside. Oh, my. In an early scene we see that a scary summer windstorm is brewing outside her window. Ashland may break in and finish her off this very night!
Well, I can’t cry over it.
Big bad Victoria (Big bad Ashland) is a scared ninny as she she pulls back the drapes to see the zombie head of Ashland starring in at her from the storm. His head has a kind of imoble Frankenstein quality here which portends finally the show is getting good. Hell hath no furry like a man scorned.
Hey Gary, Let’s remember we are talking about Nick here. The need to rescue the damsel in distress. But I must concur 1000 Percent that Victoria is no victim. She is a liar and a thief.
So surprised to see Victoria open the door to scary Ashland today after he has been giving her the heebie/geebies in the last couple of episodes to where she ran home and locked her door, then panicked as the wind blew against the window pane! Pissed me off to see Nick coming to Victoria’s door just as Ashland is about to axe her. He’s actually very whiney and hasn’t the gutts but now he is standing up to her and issuing ultimatums. The thing Ashland has to understand is that just because Victoria changed him turning him into the sensitive… Read more »
Victoria is no innocent person in all of this. I still don’t think she ever loved Ashland. She believed he was dying and married him to get his company. So when she found out that he wasn’t dying, she was upset. She always intended to have both companies for herself. She PLAYED Ashland too.
You remind once again that Victoria is no victim. As Adam said (and I forget) she pushed and manipulated Ashland with a smug satisfaction. She counts on Victor’s protection as she creates her own danger. Each time you mention Victoria assuming Ashland would die and leave her the whole thing , it sounds right.
Can someone explain all the “terrible” things Diane has done, especially to Phyllis? She hates Diane’s guts & I’m having a hard to sympathizing with her. I didn’t watch the show when these ladies were at war with eachother.
From what I can remember, the reason Nikki and Phyllis hate her is because she has been after both Victor and Jack at different points in time. Diane was originally after Victor and of course Nikki didn’t like that and then later Diane was trying to get at Jack when Phyllis was married to him in the 2000’s. With Ashley, I don’t remember if she was with Victor at some point and maybe fought Diane over him too, but she is also protective of her brother.

Nikki: “I have never done anything that sunk to the level of evil of what Diane has wrought on my family and me.” Yuuuuuup… incorrigible as the Newmans are, I still love Nikki in all of her pretentious awfulness! While not attributed to the analagous ‘pearls’ referenced earlier, I do crack up every time ‘Her Eminence’ uses big words she certainly didn’t assimilate at The Bayou (or through ladder-climbing to Victor). Always a hoot to hear ‘Professional Nicole’ spouting corporate vernacular… Sorry, Haters, I just get an absolute kick out of Nikki Newman! M.T.Scott nails the horrid gal every time… Read more »

Based on Y&R’s preview, I think Ashland will turn into a psycho. Sheila-level psycho.
I feel like they are recycling a bit of the JT s/l. He was kind of stalking her remember? If Ashland become irredeemable & written into a corner I feel like he’ll be gone from the show permanently. I really like him & RN. RN looks so different & younger without the beard yet somehow more menacing. I want him to stay!
You are absolutely correct about Y&R rehashing the JT Hellstrom Storyline. But I think Ashland may also do a Diane move, by faking his death and allowing the Newmans to take the blame. I WOULD STICK AROUND FOR THAT!!!
Well, Ashland has thus far not been abusive toward Victoria… at least not physically. I say she did endure both emotional and psychological abuse w/his secrets and grandiose lies (although some viewers seem to think all those deceptions amounted to ‘one big whoop’). Glad to see Victoria standing up to Ashland’s confrontation today – albeit she was getting more confused and alarmed by the minute. She hadn’t been reduced to cowering, which I would soooo hate to see for her again. Idk where Friday’s cliff-hanger is going, but I do hope R.Newman stays on the show – just NOT relegated… Read more »

This is Victoria Newman Show, at the moment. Fear not for her.
Will Ashland ice Victoria on Monday?
You will have to wait and see!
