So many gems this week. First, Adam and Sally. Thank God Adam has Sally to talk him off of the cliff when he finds out how Victor used him. I was excited to see that Y&R changed their music. Their quickies were starting to look cartoonish. Glad to see Y&R can still do romance. I’m all in for these two. I would love to see them beat out Kyle and Summer on the buy out of Marchetti. Jill and Diane. Two powerhouse actresses that remind us why soap operas have been around so many decades. I hung on every word,… Read more »

I think if Victoria came back to Newman, Adam would be out again as CEO. He better make his mark while he can. And it is good Adam has Sally to comfort him and to make schemes together. They are perfect as a couple maybe even a super couple

I was kind of neutral about the Ashley/Traci episode – I felt that both deserved their own episodes. But then of course Nadia’s theme started at the end and then I melted. Darn that music!

I liked the flashbacks. Has been awhile since we saw Brad and John Abbott. Was a good idea to celebrate the two of them together

Jerry Douglas was such a great actor in that scene with Ashley where he was crying. Award winning performance!

I wonder if Victoria is faking her forgiveness of Ashland and in reality she actually has a plan of her own? I say this because I thought I saw a look on Victoria’s face when she and Ashland were toasting at their new place in New York. The look on Victoria’s face showed a dislike for Ashland for a split second as if she was not being genuine with him. Not sure if anyone else thought the same thing?

I noticed the same thing, Maybe she does have a plan and maybe Victor is in on it! I can’t believe Victoria would forgive Ashland so completely and so quickly

I am glad Nate’s plan to follow through with revealing the companies plans went well. I was worried that things were going to go south quickly after just starting with the company. Nate’s success in going ahead with his idea also shows Devon that he isn’t always necessarily right. Nate is new to the business world but it just goes to show that it doesn’t really seem to matter. A good idea is a good idea, experience or not!

Nate took a big risk and it paid off this time but Devon was not happy Nate went against him . They will always butt heads, Nate is a take charge kind of guy whether in medicine or business

Just to weigh in on Friday’s show. It appears most CHATTERS gave positive comments on the flashback episodes and clips. I beg to differ. I have to be totally honest. I hated every minute of it. Well, the scene or two that I watched. I turned the channel to CABLE NEWS. Friday’s show in my opinion was a colossal waste of time! I was hoping to see continuations of Adam, Victoria/Ashland, etc. So much could have been shown. Congrats on 40yrs for the Ashley character but it just as well could have been posted on Facebook or other Social Media.… Read more »

Not surprised that my “honest comments” would not be very popular. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. I tend to feel that way each time Y&R (and sometimes The Bold and the Beautiful) take us back and sometimes way back into time……But to “clean my comments up a bit” I understand why other fans may appreciate the nostalgia, if you will, now and then. It has it’s place. To each his own. I don’t expect everyone to agree with my take on the subject. That’s why all of us have the option of the channel button on the… Read more »

HENRY, I actualy agree with you. I would be labeled nostalgic by anyone familiar with me but I find the actual retro of going down memory lane with vintage clips of the overly familiar central characters like Victor tedious. I didn’t like the Y&R Covid Classic Years very much. I gave you a thumbs down only because in this particular instance I did like the Traci focus. I felt she deserved it with her particular look back something different. When Jack got all sappy at the end and said, “I probably don’t praise my sisters enough” I was thinking, ‘you’ve… Read more »

It seems that Henry turned the channel so fast that he didn’t realize that the show was celebrating both Ashley and Traci. He only mentioned Ashley was celebrating 40 years. When it was both actresses, Beth Maitland and Elieen Davidson. But then again, maybe like John Abbott he only sees Ashley. I personally loved it a lot. Even though it was originally suppose to air on Thursday, June 16th, 2022.

YES! The TV banner for the episode (what do you call that?) had it airing on Thursday originally, but my phone got it right for once and promoed the episode as airing Friday! They had the heads up with the inserection hearings. (Tues. & Thurs. next week)
So now we are thrown into the Friday coming attractions to be out out of wack for the next 6 weeks. (month)

I think Y & R does this as a treat for the the decades fans, thanking them for their loyalty. I may be completely wrong, but it somehow feels like that

Y&R always gives actors celebrating milestones, their own episodes ,but I for one like it and appreciate the effort. I didn’t mind the episode was for both Ashley and Tracy. And the usual storylines will be back on Monday

I thoroughly enjoyed the Traci and Ashley Episode. Seeing Traci with Danny and being reminded that she is a singer and Victor caused the death of her daughter Collen( for which he has her heart, but I digress). I say the other part because I wish this show would give Traci back a daughter, in the form of Tessa Porter. It’s doable.

Having Traci as extra support for Tessa is a great idea. Traci is supposed to be working for Chancellor Media, now Chancellor/Winters. She could write a profile on Tessa and then begin a close relationship. This relationship could prompt Traci to move back to GC and also support Allie.

The little ancient flashback of Traci as a young girl telling her father that she is not fit to be part of the Jabot beauty family but she loves everybody so much anyway was one of the best character revealing look backs ever! It is so interesting how Y&R is able to locate such an obscure moment that one would think would be lost in the annals of tape forever. Certainly Y&R can pull from its library the St. Valentine’s Day Newman Tower fire or bombing masacure at a moments notice, but how in the world do they locate these… Read more »

I love the flashbacks. They are always so fun to watch which is why I like to post ones I find on youtube that I think others would enjoy also. I enjoyed the flashback of Tracey, Lauren and the ice cream. I have seen that one on youtube before. Lauren was such a brat!

Jill is one of my all time favs, her classy interrogation of Diane was awesome. Jess Walton is a gem, the more we get of her the better.

I am usually a big fan of Jill, but I found her conversation with Dianne, exactly as you described it, an interrogation. And I found it annoying.

I was glad to see Jill back and she knows what it’s like to be hated and redeemed. She had a very contentious relationship with Katherine Chancellor but ended up being best friends at the end.

One thing I really like about soaps is the same actor can play a character for 10, 20, 30, 40 yrs. That means you get to watch cool flashbacks. You’re reminded of scenes you haven’t seen or have forgot. You see actors grow up. It’s something special only on soaps. Yes some shows run for 10 yrs but but not much more than that & they don’t use a lot of flashbacks.

Everyone looks so young in flashbacks, nice to see the difference in all those years gone by.

OMG VICTOR GIVE ASHLEY HER BABY !!!!!!! One more “Give me my baby Victor” and I would have travelled through time and space and snatched the baby from his arms for Ashley. That made me feel frantic

I like Allie. In her first scenes, she looked very young, like Faith, who is finishing high school. Allie mentioned finishing her masters, which would make her at least 25. And I did notice recently, she looks and dresses a bit older than her initial scenes. To feature her with the Noah they recast younger? I like them together.

I like them together too. Allie does seem more mature now that they are pairing her with Noah. I like the banter they have together and look forward to a finally good match for Noah
