I wish Roger Howarth could have joined the show as character free of the ick factor that Matt Clarke will always have for me. I can’t get past the yuck of My Girl Phyllis potentially being romantically or intimately connected to a rapist, especially Sharon’s rapist. New Matt is delightful, however he is still guilty of and responsible for his original sins. This character makeover is a giant leap, even by soap opera terms. If New Matt was a completely different character I would love him as a romantic lead for Phyllis. For example, they could have brought Roger Howarth… Read more »

Phyllis and Cane would be hot. The writers need to work on Devon. Devon always bitter and angry.

My Y&R teachable moment…I was taught horseshoes hang prongs up so, the Shadow Room horseshoe wall light had me thinking it was hung upside down and all their luck was going to run out, until I started doing some superstition research. Blacksmiths viewed a horseshoe as a magical symbol representing fire and iron and hanging an inverted horseshoe meant all the stored luck would flow to them and their tools. So, hanging it prongs down means whoever is standing under is showered with abundance, blessings or luck. Other cultures hold to the traditional U shape or prongs up display so… Read more »

Am I the only one with this unpopular stance? I find Cane and Lily to be so boring that I forward through their scenes. Way more sparks with Cane and Phyllis. A Cane, Phyllis, and Matt triangle could be fun!

I agree, Liliy and cane are boring now that they are getting back together. Was better when they were fighting. Cane and Phylis were hot together, triangle with Matt would be interesting

Matt doesn’t need Phyllis to tell him he’s walking into a Newman meat grinder. With an ankle monitor and constant surveillance, he needs start acting like a person who has read le Carré. At his next meeting with Cane, he should execute a clean brush pass, enriching Cane with one tightly folded note: “Victor has me on a leash to report your plans. I’m compromised, but if we coordinate, we can feed him whatever we want giving you the upper hand and me my freedom. ” Start with high-quality “chicken feed” — causing significant but not deadly damage to Cane… Read more »

This Matt is so different. He is too easy and simplistic, needs to stand on his feet and not cower to Victor, but he shouldn’t be evil either

Sienna really gave Audra a smack down. Sienna told Audra she didn’t feel threatened and could see she was playing games. Audra smile continued to fade as Sienna went on about Audra not having enough attention, power, money and even, envy. Sienna gave the final smack by telling Audra that Noah would not be buying what Audra was selling. Sienna was trying to make Audra very small. But it will take more than this to shake Audra’s confidence.

Right, Audra doesn’t give up easily. Noah if he is interested in Audra he won’t be obvious about it.

Something i do like iis that Cane is onto Roger Howorth. Cane is the show’s new hero (anti-hero) and he has to be smart if he is to be thrust into the forefront. Being on top of something over getting duped makes for engaging viewing although Cane will likely fall under the legendary Matt Clark charm by next week when he is able to come up with some bogus something to win Cane’s trust. It has been hard fought but there it is! So Matt & Patty are both fantasy characters in absurd plots but by Monday we will be… Read more »

Maybe Cane will keep his enemies close. Matt can be his new personal assistant. Wonder if Matt knows what happened to Cane’s last one.

Oh, yes Victoria. “the concept of “keeping your enemies close” can be justification for all the preposterous Josh Griffith stories.

I agree ,Nate will go back into medicine to save Nikki. She supposed to be diagnosed with a mass and will go blind. Haven’t dealt with that in awhile.

Matt had an answer for everything Cane asked about. Pretty convincing and also still super thirsty. Cane might think Matt is hoping for a dinner date. We’ve arrived at the Sienna and Audra rivalry! Sienna dissected Audra’s insecurities like a master sushi chef. Audra gave it back pretty good too. We might be getting a cat fight in the near future. Queue the stunt doubles. Audra got the last word, though. I don’t like Victoria talking about a world without Nikki in it! Get her to the doctor or the ER! Blinding headaches are not to be slept on. Next… Read more »

We are looking at a macroadenoma abutting the optic nerve. The difference between benign and deadly is less than a millimetre. Find Nikki a neurosurgeon!

This is just an appreciation post for Phyllis and her curls. I just think Phyllis’s hair looks very pretty and her curls look great! This is coming from someone who wishes her hair can hold curls longer than 15 minutes.

Why is Phyllis so mean to Cane? She is the one who screwed him over. She took so much pleasure rubbing Arobesk (sp?) in his face.

I always throw my empty medication bottles on the floor in a pouty rage.

Do we really need more Newman Media?

Of course Cane is suspicious of Matt being so thirsty for them to get together. Red Flags and flashing lights suspicious.

I had the same thought, except it’s hilariously dumb. It’s funny enough that I look forward to seeing how badly it fails. Imagine how Diane will feel about it when she eventually escapes. “You did what? Did you enjoy yourself, Jack?” No way this ends well.

Really! Jack’s plan to rescue his damsel is the ultimate nail in the coffin. Should Diane forgice & forget? Not now! Dumb, dopey Jack deserves whatever he is going to get. Emphasis on the DUMB.

Ali you called it right from the very start. Victoria and Kyle is on! They had another interaction but it wasn’t hostile anymore. I am already anticipating Claire finding out about them!

Is it just me but this story of Diane being trapped in some psychiatrist home and Jack having Patty move in not gripping me like I hope it would. Diane doesn’t seem as panicked as I think she would be being trapped in this strangers house. It seems too quick for Jack just to go along with Patty’s blackmail and have her move in. I am ready for Diane to be found at this point and honestly wished it wasn’t a whole episode focused on this kidnapping.

Was it a coincidence or a very clever wardrobe optical illusion? I love a classic nautical look and have had more than one in my closet throughout the years so, Nikki’s top caught my eye immediately, when I saw her head to toe outfit. When she sat down, the asymmetrical button design seemed awkward and was less pleasing to the eye. In the final scene, she was standing on the porch when she got dizzy, the buttons drew the eye up to the sky and led up to the blurry vision shot. The clever symbolism and excellent production was not… Read more »
