I found your podcast about a month ago and truly enjoy it ! You do a wonderful job ! Love the new Y&R intro and all the beautiful gowns at the gala! And I agree, will Jack’s white tuxedo jacket have blood on it ?? Hope not too !

I voted “Thumbs Up” on the anniversary intro. Keeping the theme song had a lot to do with my vote! I hope they never change that! Loved Victor’s trademark wink of the eye. 🙂

I voted yes to the new intro. It’s similar but looks more festive Is it ongoing or just for the week of the anniversary?

I have a pit in my stomach after My Girl Phyllis said her ominous, teary eyed sentiments to her kids. I really hope she has a flood of good will and turns the tables on Jeremy, before it’s too late. I fear that she’s in way over her head with him, and that the plan has gone from a soapy eye for an eye revenge plot to real evil. Come on girl…….. Please don’t leave my screen!!

I think Phyllis is going to be sorry she got involved with Jeremy’s plan. Something will go wrong. I think the wrong person will get hurt or killed and it won’t be Diane . Phyllis has gone off the deep end. She needs professional help

I loved how Mamie said no to putting her and Jill’s differences aside! Haha! I mean would you just forget about how your boss paid you a million dollars to leave town and leave a job and a family that you love? Jill was wrong for doing that. Well, past is past, but not for Mamie.

Mamie is the haughtiest domestic in Genoa City. One Million to get lost, turned into 10. Very good.

Kamna_in_CA zeroed in on some of the best zingers uttered in GC this week! I would add the best (rhetorical) question maybe EVER was uttered this week by Phyllis to Dianne: “When you fake die, do you go to fake Hell?” Ah, hahahahaha! – so profoundly Phyllis! Ok, will coming events around the gala enable Phyllis to answer that?? I just love M. Stafford. Her character’s dialogue is always so sharp, and she has a precisely perfect, double-edged delivery of every word, every time. Ugh, my PTSD from when she left the show before is gonna return if she disappears… Read more »

Great comment! You have summed up Phyllis and MS portrayal of her. Phyllis is all in all the time every moment on screen. Her odd farewell tour with Summer and Daniel was hard to read. I’m worried it will be something she cannot come back from.

That is seamless. The Neil Winters Jazz Club extention to The Authletic Club. Neil has gotten his postumous name in a lot of places around town I can’t quite remember. If they utilize it the totality of TAC can add another vibe to the social opportunities of the townspeople. Society is for chic trendies. Glam Club, we get the idea but is kind of undefined, most notable for its wacky retro design, so tacky it is completely hip, and now Neil’s Jazz Club can be for the late night mellow lovers, the Billy & Chelsea Lawsons of this world.Genoa nightlife… Read more »

Everyone looks so beautiful. My favs so far are Abby-omg that pink sparkly off the shoulder gown. She looks breathtaking. Nikki in her red makes her hair look golden. Elena looks incredible in her rose gold. The men Jack looks dashing in his white dinner jacket, Nate in his embossed coat and Jeremy’s jacket matches his eyes. I am loving the vintage set. I like that it is large enough to fit multiple groups of people in one shot. The camera pans out and you can actually see Tucker with his chin on the bar.

Tina, The two witches, Ashley and Leanna Love bear their claws while we cut to Tucker with his chin on the bar looking so glum and thinking, “Oh, no’. Hillarious and droll.

Gary I am loving Ashley and Tucker. I have cracked up at Tucker and his wisecracks and I like be how Ashley tries to act annoyed but can’t help herself from smiling.

Billy has revived his red velvet Broadway usher look for the gala! He should be in charge of valet parking at the revolving door. He has cute fresh haircut too.

So thoughtful of Diane and Jack not to announce their engagement at the gala after all. It would have been in poor taste given the beautiful tribute to Neil.

What a beautiful way to honor Kristoff St. John as the Young and the Restless celebrates 50 years. I realize other cast members have passed away as well, but to honor Kristoff / Neil Wlnters was very thoughtful and just an overall nice touch. I truly love the show.

Characters that I have noted that are not at the ball and possible reasons as to why. First Mariah and Tessa, they needed to stay home with baby “no name” as new moms. Second, Noah and Allie, this is because Noah came to the Jabot lab to find Allie working late and then they did the only thing that makes sense, sex in the lab (next best thing to office sex). Third, Ester is such a dedicated employee to Chancellor Winters that she is still manning the receptionist phone. Fourth, Chloe and Kevin, well Chloe is impatiently waiting for Kevin… Read more »

Actually, Esther and Christine will be attending. I think Amanda is too. Tessa and Mariah apparently went back to Portland with the baby. Paul is in Portugal visiting Heather and Lucy.
So, Chance should be making an appearance when the supposedly death occurs. Not sure what the deal is with Noah and Allie. But I did notice that the outfits that the cast are wearing at the Gala are the same outfits that they wore for the new cast photo shoot. With the exception of Nikki and Traci.

Y&R’s finest is Ali’s Victor Newman who winks out at us in his magnificent opening credit. You wink, I’m gone. Who has better earned the right to nod the audience in fun than Victor Newman? They absolutely must find a way to keep his opening shot! It is most incredible. And Eric Braden, like Peter Bergman, is so proud to represent Y&R’s 50th!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY you crazy kids.

As annoying as he can sometimes be, he is the most iconic character the show has produced. A classic debonair soap opera character for sure, played with gusto and a raised eyebrow.
