I am also confused by the “plot” Jeremy has cooked up. How does this benefit Phyllis? It doesn’t. She’s lost everything. It doesn’t make sense that Phyllis would go along with this. All to pin the “crime” on Diane? Make it make sense, please?
Really enjoyed this week’s Y&R! I thought it was so heart warming when Chelsea was rescued by Chloe from Leanna Love — what a true friend!! Still enjoying those beautiful dresses and hoping Danny and Cricket will be together again !
I loved Tucker’s face after he and Ashley kissed . He brings comedy to the show. And…I think Danny is sticking around. I feel like Y&R will reveal that Paul & Cricket are divorced and Danny & Cricket will be together again.
They finally said what is going on with Paul even if he wasn’t on for the 50th anniversary which is a travesty. Christine doesn’t look happy, she may divorce Paul. But not sure how long Danny will be in town.
Another comment on fashion: I appreciate that we get to see Abby at ‘home’ and comfortably dressed in simple jeans, sweater and flats. Also no makeup to speak of. She is just as pretty. I enjoy Abby.
Not sure I saw this in the all comments re: confusion on the plan. I’m guessing Stark and Phyllis got married so they wouldn’t have to testify against each other, right? So their secret plot remains a secret. Unless Leanna Love figures it out of course!
That may be why they got married. How does Phyllis going missing fit into their plan? Diane’s engagement ring probably had some kind of poison on it to make Phyllis collapse but how will this move forward is the question
Random thoughts for the week: On LIPSTICK: Can I get Sally’s cheeseburger-proof brand? On SEQUINS: Thank you Y&R. Mission Accomplished. On CHEMISTRY: More Tashley please… On BEING FABULOUS: Leanna Love. Who needs a date when all of GC’s gossip is your lover? On HEARTWARMING: Adam nudging Sharon about Chance. I like him and Sharon as friends. On PREDICTIONS: There have been enough sharp turns, twists, and swerves with the Jeremy-Phyllis-Diane storyline that makes me think the best is yet to come, even though it’s a tad ridiculous. I’m dreading something in all of this: I fear that Jeremy may have double-crossed Phyllis. On the one hand, I like that twist to the overall story. I imagine that it can also serve to exculpate Phyllis from everyone’s anger and rejection if it turns out she was victimized by Jeremy (overlooking the fact that she intended to plot with him against Diane and just got double-crossed, so she would not be a complete innocent really). Jeremy looked quite pleased when Chance announced (re: the ambulance accident) that ‘we s/prepare for the worst’ re: Phyllis. Such handsome smirking! But he really s/contain that if he wants to effectively ‘mourn’ losing his new wife, lol.
Ok, last gala fashion/beauty statement: Nikki’s lipstick was horrendous. Loved everything else about her look (pretending the sequins weren’t so sequin-y), and obviously the woman herself is drop-dead gorgeous. But the drained-of-life lip color??? That ghoulish shade was better suited for dying/faux-dead Phyllis.
I was thinking the same thing. The lip color was all wrong.
Two people bold enough to speak the truth about Nikki at this affair. Victor messed her up big time in all that fire engine red, flamenco ear bobs, etc.
Leanne Love was so hilarious during the “Phyllis has collapsed’ scenes. Leanna perked right up when Jeremy tossed out that he had just been released from prison. ‘Pri – son?’ she purred, w/a little shoulder-c’mon and finger-gnaw.. she was definitely turned on! Or pretending so… it almost seemed from today’s show that she and Jeremy (and then Phyllis by default) may well be in cahoots. (And hmm, they are color-coordinated.) Why? Idk…to ensure salacious and slanderous reporting of evil Dianne? It did seem odd to me that the character of Leanna was apparently relevant enough to include in the anniversary… Read more »
I love Tucker and Ashley more and more every day.
Amanda’s snark and advice were a bit over the top. I personally never felt like she and Devon were that in love or committed to one another. Honestly, if they were, he would not have just volunteered his sperm to Abby with no thought of him and Amanda having their own child. Equally, Amanda did not seem that unsettled by his gesture of playing daddy and insta-family with Abby. I feel like once Amanda found her real family, she was over being all about Devon. I don’t see how this plan of Stark and Phyliss should work. Unless Phyliss died on the spot in the GCAC from complications of almost choking to death, what could they really have on Diane? While I find this whole story to be farfetched and completely ridiculous, it is holding my attention to see what will happen next. Phyllis is like I Love Lucy, always getting caught up in her own schemes and going too far, I don’t see this ending well for her.
Your comparison of Phyllis to I Love Lucy is perfect! Nothing works out in the beginning or middle but somehow both women survive the disaster and move on.

It looks like I spoke too soon. All the characters that I had commented on not being at the gala ended up being there. Yeah! We saw NIna, Esther, Christine and Chance. Glad all of these characters made an appearance. I also enjoyed seeing Danny and Gina Romalotti. All legacy characters.

It was a little silly that Diane wouldn’t have called Summer to see if Phyllis was telling the truth about Kyle being sick. Be that as it may, Phyllis was scary when she was trying to hold Diane hostage in the hotel room. Diane should have told Chance that Phyllis was trying to hold her hostage in the room when Phyllis told Diane that she wasn’t going anywhere.
