I like the way Cane dares to tease Lily & be forward with her pushing his own love agenda. Watching Lily unable to resist is heartwarming following the pain in the butt she has been for everyone in recent years.
Yes, of course, all is forgiven. Prison hardened you as it has 4 all of us but now you are re-blossoming.

I am glad that Y&R did not just drop the storyline of Nick’s addiction, as we see that Nick still has pills and wants to take them. I feel this way because it makes the storyline of Nick’s addiction much more realistic and meaningful. I feel it would be cheesy if Nick were to suddenly improve all of a sudden, and the viewers only hear that Nick is going to rehab. This makes the storyline more prevalent as it shows the audience the struggles of addiction, just as we saw with Nikki and Jack. In my course, In my ECE… Read more »

I am working on catching up on the show. It’s the long weekend so I plan to indulge myself this weekend by binge watching Y&R. Having said that, I feel I must comment on an observation I have noticed, as I have just started watching this week’s episodes (Friday’s episode in Canada) is that Lauren’s nose is getting thinner and thinner. I know she gets work done on it often as it is noticeable, but I this time it is very obvious. I don’t want to say too much on it as a thin nose is nice but it may… Read more »

I don’t like my dog Blaine Blaineson barking through the Cane & Lily love scenes. I like that Lily doesn’t hate Cane now, as stated.
Yes. I think he was a flash in the pan slick shutterbug on Y&R. You know how cool & hip they can be. Did Malcom once take pictures? (“Turn this way, baby girl. Get down. Sparkle, Sparkle”) He has been taken in a different direction but I have thought Holden Novak Winters would have made a good fashion photographer. Of course those were the days I was trying to railroad him onto Bold & Beautiful because I decided I didn’t like him. In truth my dog Blaine was named after someone other than Blaineson but that name is his professional… Read more »

Baby or hero? Enjoying Cane’s recovery in leisure suit.
After the big heartfelt confession to dad, even as addiction goes, its surprising Nick is still meeting his pusher in the park when the appropriate newly prescribed meds must be available to him wit the re-hab. Did he say something yesterday about not having time to go get them?
Yes, he said he didn’t have time yet. Can’t believe they didn’t escort him there themselves. Nick almost died in Las Vegas. What is it going to take to get him to the clinic?
This is an outrageous flaw in Nick’s character & story. Addiction or not. After he had all those heart to hearts with the family. Yes, if he couldn’t get dope elsewhere he’d go to Dr. Feelgood, that’s the way we do it, but his new stay in the hospital must have hooked him up with the right detox program which he would want to follow. I laughed when the upshot of his hospital stay was that he would go to re-had. Sue the hospital for malpractice! I just couldn’t believe it when Nick said he didn’t have time to go… Read more »

For whatever reasons i’m not sure I’m crazy about the term ‘harvesting”. Why has Y&R sexed up the solemn event of Malcom’s transplant with Holden & Holly Go Lightly Claire in New york? It comes down to this: We either take Malcolm seriously or we don’t.
You beat me to my answer. (And as much I enjoy Malcolm whatever the story, I’ll take the sexed-up stuff over solemn any day. On a SOAP!)

Oh Nick! I should not have believed that the addiction story was coming to a close. I wonder if he will have life long problems like his mom. I always thought it was interesting that Jack’s addiction was to pills only, but he can still drink without going too far. I don’t think that is how it works in real life, but I suppose that’s not what we are watching. Um, is Cane wearing dirty socks? What do y’all think? was that a shadow? I think I’m very excited about them getting back together. They are very cute together. Why… Read more »
I am loving Roger Howarth’s scenes as Matt Clark these last two weeks. I look forward to each one and his amnesia is starting to wear off I think as he says he is getting flashes of memories. So let’s cherish the little time we have together with him being a sweet innocent newcomer to GC. Oh it’s gonna be good when he snaps back into full Matt mode.

I know this is a very subtle comment, but Lily insinuated Maddie missed too much school when they pretended to be kidnapped by Victor. Lily actually had her daughter miss school for weeks? Just to hope Cane gave Victor back Newman Enterprises and get Chancellor out of it. That seems a bit much to me.

I was reading a follow up story about the temporary recast of Jess Walton and a link showed her last scene with Jeanne Cooper. Then today, I heard Victor’s line about not being around much longer and it was so overwhelmingly sad. I realized these actors and make believe characters have a real connection and tug on our hearts. They are more than the fantasy, they’re actually loved and cherished old family friends and I treasure them and I know that I am not alone in this sentiment.
What a nightmare. Jack and Patti back together. Diane’s dream sequence was my favorite moment of the week. Diane deep down wants Jack and her life back. Diane must still be feeling guilt about Patti losing her and Jack’s baby. If Patti finds out, she will torment Diane with this knowledge. Of course, Jack is busy trying to get revenge on Victor, which always goes so well. His methods are only making it harder for Diane to forgive him. With his lastest plan to enlist Patti in his scheme, Diane won’t be back at the Abbott mansion any time soon.

Dominic is asking to see Mariah. Devon and Abby fighting. Lily reminds Devon that he has known and been friends with Mariah for years. Also, that Mariah gave birth to Dominic. Devon goes to see Mariah. Realizes that Mariah has some of the same allergies and quirks as Dominic. Could Mariah actually be Dominic’s real biological Mother? The reason she has such a strong bond to him!!
Josh Marrow deserves an Emmy for his amazing work this year. His desperate admission to Victor was very moving. He’s lost it but is performing it amazingly. Hearing Victor speak of his mortality was jarring! I don’t want to think about that. I should have known, of course Phyllis would use Matt as a bargaining chip. Once I saw the hotel room it was clear. Diane’s dream was all kinds of fun but she woke up too soon! I was hoping their daughter was going to be Nikki in a school girl uniform and pigtails skipping through the front door… Read more »
I like to think when the script calls for commenting on someone’s age or body that there was a discussion of some kind first and the actor is on board. When Jill used to call Katherine a withered old bat, bag of bones, and implied she was a corps when she said the mansion was a crypt, that Jean Cooper had suggested the insults to the writers. I bet she got a laugh out of it.
Yesss, I like to think so, too. That’s hilarious that J.Cooper probably had a hand in all of that. Maybe J.Walton did, too. They were soooo great together!
Yes, I was thinking it could have been an ad-lib. Melody talked about how difficult it can be in scenes with EB- as he throws her off interjecting his own dialogue, but EB is such a rough/tough macho man I don’t know if he would want to put this kind of vulnerability out there about himself?
Very effective, though.

I think its nice the show is tackling more topical subjects in its own soapy way, artifical intelligence, fentanyl, problems with our justice system.
Lily and Cane! Love!
LILY & CANE + TRUE LOVE
You have to wait for it to be real

Victor’s line about possibly not be around much longer was surprising from the writer’s pen (no pens anymore), jarring me from my lethargy —
I know….

I was also shocked to hear Victor say he might not be here too much longer. I wonder how Eric felt reading that.
It may well have been initiated by the great Eric Braeden himself…
