Well, CK is the right amount of menace and “ick” factor. His last scene on Friday with Sharon reminded me of a scene in a Hitchcock movie. Sharon Case now has some material where she can turn from serving coffee to throwing it. So far, she is playing it perfectly. The whole interaction between Cameron and Sharon had me breathless. I’ll grab my oxygen and get ready for more next week.

Y&R’s 50th has produced some pop-in actors/characters from the past – Cameron, JT, Amanda, LeannaLove, Noah&Allie, Malcolm, Harmony, … however, the longest running character is not to be seen – SO FAR! Where is Paul?!?!?!?

I love Alison Lanier’s portrayal of Summer but I just can’t stand Summer. I feel sorry for her a bit because of Phyllis constantly pulling her daughter into her drama. This whole ordeal began with Phyllis being upset with everyone that they didn’t believe her about Diane. She just knew that Diane was going to blow up Summer and Kyle and break Jack’s heart. Phyllis has done all of that herself and more. Summer and Kyle will not survive this because Phyllis will demand complete loyalty from Summer. Chatters are right. How can Phyllis redeem herself after this?

Phyllis is very magnamanious with Summer blaming herself and acknowledging how she has put her life in peril as if this is going to make it all better if the two end up in adjacent prison cells. I hope the co-dependent twins end up sent to different prisons where each can learn to stand on their own two feet independent of the other. Summer is a loon to prostrate herself before her mother as the inperfect daughter. Someone needs to shake some sense into her ninny head.

ALI, I asked you earlier when was the character of Cameron introduced. I did a little digging and found out his role ran from 2003-2004. Wow! He’s back after 19 years! I guess Y&R is pulling out all the stops in celebrating 50 years! What can we expect next? Nothing would surprise me at this juncture!

Lily and Devon seemed rather full of themselves when commenting to each other something like how ‘cutesy poor little Sally and Chloe were w/their eager sales pitch.’ Lily is normally more humble than condescending; Devon, eh, par for his course, lol.

Clearly Summer has made horrible decisions even since Phyllis ‘died’… poor, misguided, and self-centered ones. All heck is already raining down on her from viewers, and most in GC will do the same when all the truths come out. But I’m not disgusted by Summer’s words and/or actions. I don’t defend them. But I also don’t expect reason from her skewed processing. I find no shame in Summer’s failing to make sense of things others may see clearly when all she’s been seeing is those same things twisted up and spinning around, as if they’re lifelines she just can’t grab… Read more »
Summer is determined to go down the remorse trail to prove her love for Phyllis. Summer must be wearing some gold-plated blinders to not see all the warning signs and pitfalls ahead. I’ll just sit back and watch her fall. Allison Lanier is such a good find. We’ll all be able to see her emotional journey.

Wow, Phyllis really is a textbook narcissist. She doesn’t even realize how much she is making it about herself and those who love her (i.e. Summer) just sign up for more torture and emotional abuse of sorts. I CAN’T WAIT for Daniel to confront her and call her BS. I really hope he doesn’t fall for the “Jeremy forced me to” bit.

I have a suggestion for a poll question. I ask this with fondness, but could Jack get any dumber? He has such a comically inflated perception of his own abilities to solve things!
So cocky with that jewel robbery. The savvy young man not thinking anything through. Righiousness will not necessarily save the day, Jack Rabbit Abbott. The strength of your will is good but may not get you where you want to go.

That freakin’ lumberjack is still mad at Sharon after all these years?
I remember there is this character as Chatters occassionally refrence him but I personally don’t recall him at all. Was he a cowboy or a schoolboy way back when? What year did he graduate Walnut Grove?

Hope someone comes and throws Phyllis & Summer into prison at the end of today’s episode.

My favorite hot mess is back, in all her Phyllis glory! May her road to redemption be full of shock and awe, snide comments from some of her peers acting all holier than thou toward My Girl……….. all the while throwing rocks from their glass houses, teary reunions, a barrage of “I’m so happy you’re alive, but shame on you.” statements, and at least one declaration from Phyllis herself of “I’m not that person anymore!”. Already, Miss Summers is showing true remorse for the pain and stress she has caused, while also taking accountability for her actions. Keep in up… Read more »
Ahahahaha, Jamie, I am completely w/you -appreciating the hot mess that is ‘your girl Phyllis’! And loving the story in all of its ridiculousness. M.Stafford is one of a kind – in the best way. A.Lanier “ain’t no slouch, either’!
I have no sympathy for Phyllis and normally I make excuses for her. She now admits it was her vindictive behavior that landed her where she is. She claims nobody was helping her but truth is she refused to listen to anyone. Her kids told her to straighten up but she wouldn’t listen. Michael and Lauren tried reasoning with her but she refused to listen. So now Phyllis, you may have valid points about how misunderstood you were and that Big Meanie Jeremy took advantage of your weakened and fragile state of mind …. But I can’t hear you because… Read more »
Anyone who makes the decision to do X so that in response to that choice they must give up their life as they know it to go into perminent exile is indeed a “hot mess” as SueW so casually diagnoses Phyllis. We don’t need any clear thinking from her now! You have long made your bed, Phyllis Romalotti. Stop trying to charm us with your current insight.
Lol, ‘charming’ Phyllis absolutely is NOT these days! I don’t claim the genius ‘hot mess’ moniker for the desperately mighty Ms.Summers – just echoing our astute Chatter, Jamie. I am all for Phyllis ‘paying every piper she owes.’ Getting what’s coming to her character will provide yet more showcase for M. Stafford to keep viewers riled up!
Phyllis has not taken accountability for one thing that she has done. She is feeding Summer a line of Bull, that it was all Diane’s fault and everyone turning on her. And Big Old Meanie Jeremy made me do it. Please woman get a grip. You are actively and purposely lying to Summer and willing to destroy her life. That not a good mother behavior. That’s a Narcissist way of thinking.
Here we go. The Phyllis Redemption Tour has begun. Summer has already bought in. You “don’t want to get Summer involved”Phyllis???? Really??? Did you just say that? Oh, sure—you’ve done a great job at that while slathering on a huge layer of unwarranted guilt just for fun. But it will probably be okay since involuntary manslaughter isn’t a crime in GC. Then we are on to crimes committed against Sharon? Is this Dateline NBC now?
Yes, I saw yesterday the tremendous righious position Phyllis took in expounding on the fact that she as a mother would never abandon any child of hers again, as the good mother she is… Phyllis can turn anything around by the strength of her will. And Summer just lapping it up.
Yes, At this point Summer has drank all the Kool-aid. She is actually hating on Daniel for telling the truth. At first I was feeling bad for Summer but now she is beyond any sympathy from me at this point.

Daniel is cool. He is strong. Has inner fortitude and can take it dispite being appaulled by the sister’s no logic.
