The Newmans and Abbotts teaming up…what could possibly go wrong with that idea? The Hatfields and McCoys comes to mind for me.

More like Nitro and Glycerin . Just heat and shake well.

I think it is a good idea but will never work, because of Victor hating Jack so much. They will never tolerate each other long enough to bring down Cane

Aagh! Still catching up on shows covered in last week’s Chat. I TRY to keep current w/viewing! but that means sometimes hitting highlights and catching up later on the rest.. and I don’t listen to the Chat until I’ve seen all of that week’s shows. (ANYWAY, apologies for my comments that then are out-dated or repetitive… for me they’re relevant, lol.)

Idek why, but recently I’m having a hard time buying into Adam and Chelsea. I’ve been a fan of their ‘matured 2nd-chance,’ but Idk… I’m ready for them to split again. (SORRY, CONNOR – but maybe you’d get a renewed storyline then, lol?) A+C’s story seems side-lined, even w/all the business brouhaha, but I’ve been finding their brain-storming, affection, bantering, etv. rather hollow and forced-sounding. Call me blasè…

I did vote recently to have Victor and Jack go to battle again. But on Friday when Jack came to the ranch to talk to Victor and Nikki, it looked like the beginning of a great storyline! And moving forward it will be very hard to choose sides. I like both Michael and Cane too! Who do we continue to root for? Cane is proposing something extremely sinister; but do we believe now that he really plans to go through with his overall takeover? And what about Michael? I thought he was working with Victor! And now I feel like… Read more »

Agreed! Call me perennially storyline-confused, but I’m loving YnR these days – as always… for decades, lol! Soapy ‘flaws’? (OXYMORON!) Oh sigh, who cares?? I love all the points you’ve made – I’m right there w/you!

I have been enjoying the show too. I’m recovering from a fall, fractured clavicle and 2 rib fractures. Wearing a sling, can’t do much for 6 weeks so I look forward to the show, highlight of my day. I also watch B&B & GH which are good right now too.

Where is Traci? One episode and no follow up or previews for next week.

Maybe whatever writing is submitted first is the storyline that moves forward. Messa or Teriah or Tessa and Mariah must have a writer that is frequently on leave of absence. And Traci’s writer is semi retired.

Open-ended Creative Writing is always a work-in-progress. I understand the fluidity soaps create with… characters and/or stories build or de-construct as they evolve, just like in real-life. Things that never develop or switch gears? Lol, sounds like much I’ve encountered in Life.

True but, save up the plots and give us more than a one act play.

Me too! I was looking forward to her seeing Danny and Christine for an engagement celebration and definitely more than her and Cane for a hug and rose colored romance memory.

Well, room for maybe a few more dreamboats in my harbor… Holden… Nick… even Kyle?! … Adam’s been put out to sea as he’s mighty boring these days. And Nate is taken… (Girl Code, Ali!!)

For now, they are together until Billy goes after Chancellor again, especially with Jill showing up.

I think I’m ready for Cane to put something else on. He’s had that weird sweater on for weeks. I’m board with him now. The last few shows he’s been stoic, grandiose, nothingness. Oh Sally, you sweet, beautiful, hopeful fool! How can she give Billy another chance? Poor thing is going to be crushed when the next opportunity to get Chancellor comes knocking on Billy’s door. Well, live and learn; or live and never learn, I guess. Billy is saying all the right things, taking responsibility for his behavior and nature, putting Sally first…..I don’t believe it. I can almost… Read more »

I don’t like Sally’s re-vamped (Helloooooo, new Wardrobe dept…) style AT ALL. Of course designers don’t need, nor often, sport their own ‘cutting-edge,’ but Sally is gorgeous and HUNGRY: wouldn’t a fiery, fresh look serve her fashion-forward, albeit ‘faux-confident,’ character? UGGGH. YnR keeps missing the mark w/this ‘Spectra-tacular’ character they deliberately brought to GC. (Hey, isn’t she Phyllis’ daughter!?! Lol.)

Yes! I am so sick of that Blah sweater in Cane! He’s coming across as such a boring guy that is just so stuck on himself.

Agree on Sally. She was so impressive holding her own with Billy. Now, he just whispers a few sweet nothings and she’s back with him. Doesn’t really make sense. Billy was horrible to her!

I agree about Cane’s sweater, also tired with the whole train thing too. i saw Jill is coming back in person to deal with Cane and Billy. I was surprised Cane fired Michael so quickly, maybe he realized Michael will always work for Victor.

I’m really disappointed Michael didn’t mention the part about working for Victor too as a double agent. What could possibly go wrong Michael? Lauren already said she’s not bailing him out.

How exactly did Colin turn his life around? Did he start a non profit or make restitution to the people he rooked? Just stopping poor behavior isn’t the same as turning a life around.

I have totally lost track of who’s sabotaging what and for what reason. But it seems ill advised for Jack to “join forces with the mustache to bring Cane Ashby down!” Cane is sitting back with his legs crossed watching it all unfold.

I’m on the same ‘lost track’ here, but I’m usually confused re: who’s on whom’s side and why, lol. All the GC power players, wannabes, and bottom feeders switch plans and allegiances so often that I suspect many of them are often confused, as well… (EXCEPT for Victor…)

Michael and Lauren quarrel truly like a couple married for years. Lauren is so mad and rightfully so. She’s had it!

Audra is always hunting for a job. It seems the perfect job for her is influencer. She can talk anyone into believing whatever she is selling. With all the media jobs around, it’s interesting that Y & R hasn’t had a character in this profession. Audra can take what little makeup she has produced for her failed companies and begin showing how to use it on Instagram and other platforms. It won’t take long with her dazzling looks to get a million followers.

Ruh, roh, Michael is in big trouble on this one and digging a deeper hole with this half truth to Lauren. The good news, they are still on the couples best dressed list. Lauren’s dress was Fenmore fabulous and Michael was channeling his inner Steve Harvey with that suit and tie.

Its way cool that Michael cracked & confessed all to his mommy before this things gotten off the ground, but I guess the fly in the ointment that is left unsaid is that this new assignment has been orchestrated by Victor.
