Reading the comments about Tessa’s photo shoot had me laughing so hard my ribs hurt
I enjoyed the scene with Chelsea going off on Abby at the restaurant. Chelsea didn’t hold back her feelings. Abby just looked at Chelsea like she was neurotic . I felt Chelsea’s frustrations in that scene as she has been through a lot with her relationships. Chelsea seemed to be affected by Rey’s death more than her own husband . Chelsea is seeming to be smitten with Chance, as she told Abby how great he was. I look forward to seeing where Chance and Chelsea’ relationship will lead to. Hopefully a forbidden and steamy romance.
How can Chelsea not have deep feelings for Rey, friendship or romance aside, after she poisoned him and later more bad fortune when he died? Much is on her head that has been left unspoken by the writers. I believe Rey’s heart attack brought about by the earlier poisoning.
I always thought the same thing and that is why Chelsea can’t get over Rey’s death. She feels guilt for poisoning him and the way he forgave her and supported her
I am not saying Chelsea should not have strong feelings for Rey. She should feel close to Rey after how he supported her throughout her mental breakdown and forgave her for poisoning him. That takes a big heart to forgive someone of such a heinous crime. Rey was there when Chelsea felt betrayed by Adam. He visited her at the hospital and stayed with her and her mother. I am not able to watch Thursday’s show. It didn’t air because of the coverage of the queen and it is not on demand for some reason or on global tv’s website. I would love to see this episode.

OMG that preview!! We knew it was coming but we are sure going to get a Nick and Adam war now! This is getting soooo good! I am still team Adam and Sally.
I hope that it is Chloe dreaming of a plan to try to break up Adam and Sally.

I didn’t think Nick and Sally would go so far so quick. Adam will probably walk away and not walk in on them . I prefer Adam with Sally too

Adam never stopped loving Sally. He made some bad decisions about her though and really hurt her. She will play hard to get probably with Nick
Ali must know that this new Woodstock storyline of Nathan Hastings is very ill advised by him as pertaining to his boss and not wisely thought out. What substantial person says no to internal medicine to be a hack entertainment organizer? Here Dr. Nate proves he is but a typical soaper after all and not to be placed on an integrity pedestal. Although he has committed no crime. Avoid working with the family at all costs.
Nate is totally wrong going behind Devon’s back. He is listening to Imani too much. He is very arrogant, probably the God complex. He thinks he is always right. Devon has more experience with the music biz and Nate should listen to him
I am more sure than ever that Adam and Sally need to be together!! The sparks were just passing between them as they just shared a drink at the bar. They genuinely love and care for each other; maybe not liking how and why they are separated/not together. In the past Adam only felt at ease and honest with Sharon but now he has found that he is his true self with Sally and you can see the desire between them that want to get back together. I’m glad Billy finally relented and let Chelsea visit with Johnny. She was way over-protective, so Johnny was a bit put off. Hopefully, she back off next time. I wonder if Billy ran this past Victoria. I really don’t want to hear her berate him again.
I thought the new actor playing Johnny did a great job showing that he not only picked up on Chelsea’s over-eager interest in him, but found it, uh -weird. He seemed natural with a typical reaction for a kid his age. So far, so good! -especially as it seems his story is heating up. Child actors trying too hard (or not at all, lol) – even if they’re cute ones – are tough to buy…
That is not any Johnny Abbott I know. SueW, do you know when the real Johnny will be coming back?
He is the new Johnny. The show did a recast.

Marchetti’s red number for Tessa’s photo shoot?! AhahahahahaHA! The flying-saucer earrings were the best (although barely out-‘tacky-ing’ the poofy/foofy top and up-the-crotch short shorts). CLEARLY not high-end designer duds! I’m sure a lot of outraged and enraged viewers will disagree, but I suspect YnR knew just what they were doing w/that crazy outfit. I think the show often plays up being soapy and outrageous, and sometimes viewers take it too seriously. A soap’s ‘tongue-in-cheek’ ploy beats viewers to the ‘tsk tsk tsk’ punch, thus rendering any bashing rather hollow. The show knows who and what they are – and they… Read more »
I agree that they knew what they were doing with that outfit too. Making the actress look ridiculous. It is a good thing it was not yellow or she would have looked like Big Bird. Because those heels were outrageous as well. IT WAS A BAD LOOK ALL AROUND. In My Honest Opinion.
Nah – the show actually didn’t make the actress (or Tessa) look ridiculous because neither one of those two chose to wear the crazy get-up. The show made Marchetti look ridiculous, though – but lol, even the show knows that GC is no fashion capital. All in good fun. That stuff doesn’t really bug me; I just find it silly! But to your earlier point – where does the story go from here?
Would liked to have seen Adam send self-righteous mama’s boy Kyle Abbott into next week but Adam always goes with his head over fists.

Yes, this look doesn’t look good on Kyle and frankly as much as I love Michael Mealor, he can not pull off the tough threaten guy persona. It was laughable to me.

BITE YOUR TONGUE MY CHATTER FRIEND. SHE IS A MEAL AND A SNACK. But that oufit was hideous. Tessa deserves better. Cait Fairbanks is too gorgeous for that crap. And take note of Ellen’s comment. Having her be awkward was just ridiculous, when she sings in front of hundreds or thousands of people at her concert. She was the Headliner in New York for the 2020 New Year’s Eve Celebration. Which is why she was NOT at Sharon and Rey Wedding despite Sharon saying she was, during her and Mariah engagement party.
Yes, its BS. As a global rock star Tessa probably does extensive photo shoots every day with Life Magazine’s photo journalists nipping at her heels everywhere she goes.
Good catch on Sharon’s wedding. Sorry to say but Tessa’s acting seemed very fake at the photo shoot. It did not come across as believable. You and Gary bring up good points that Tessa would not have been nervous. Aside from that, she didn’t come across as nervous to me, she came across as depressed. That whole scene was so silly. The expression on Tessa’s face was sad and nothing else. She just stood there. They could have at least had Tessa trying to pose but not being successful as her nerves took over. Exactly. Tessa did look more sad and depressed, rather than nervous. Probably because of that ugly outfit. Also, what was even more unrealistic. Mariah to Tessa: “Just imagine yourself at a cool brunch with friends”. I’m sorry what friends does Tessa have in Genoa City? Heck, it seems that they have left her poor sister Crystal in the Grand Phoenix hotel room. Get serious Mariah and Y&R.
DIANNA, you’re right. Tessa seemed more intent on indulging in being flakey just because she could at her photo shoot over truly all thumbs because she didn’t know how to project.. Tessa has so much high fashion photo experience just from the pictures she & Mariah took trying on all those grab bag looks from the thrift shop purchased on a whim to possibly wear to…
Why on earth would a seasoned stage performer like Tessa be stiff and awkward in front of a camera? This is silly. And top photographers always have ways to put models at ease. Hopefully this scene is going somewhere—it’s an implausible set up.
That’s what Y&R does with Tessa’s character. Since JG took over as head writer. Nothing about her character has been believable, except for her singing and songwriting. She should not have been the blackmailer against Nikki and Sharon of all people. One took her in and she was dating the other’s daughter. Makes no sense. And that scene is going nowhere. Just like most of their storylines. But gotta love Cait for playing it for all it’s worth, when she was pulling on the bottom of her outfit. She was probably trying to get out of that ruffled mess.
I find Tessa very believable – as much as any soap character can be. And I mean that in the best way. Every such character (excepting the ‘blink ‘n ya miss ’em ones’- i.e. Moses) has crazy melodramas creating his or her on-going story. What resonates w/me – as a soap fan – isn’t logic or lack of, but rather the emotional sell by actors in any scenario. Imho, C. I found it believable too. Tessa may have anxiety for any big firsts. The same type of thing happened when she was making her first album with Devon. Both times Mariah rescued her. I’d prefer Tessa get past that myself. Maybe she needs to spend some more time at the coffee shop with Sharon.
Ellen, I just rewatched the photo shoot. What was the exchange of looks going on between Tessa and Adam? It got me thinking that Mark could have been given Cait, that stern look of saying back off from my wife. I say that because Cait has said in interviews how much she has a crush on Sharon Case and thinks that it would be a great storyline if Tessa made a play for Sharon.
Sally to Chance: I guess it’s just better to tow the Newman family line, right? Wow Sally, since when do you think that way—bowing down to authority. And you certainly pushed all of Chance’s buttons, essentially calling him corrupt. He keeps insisting he didn’t have a case, but we all saw him stop investigating to appease his family. It’s bothering him every day.
Yes, it is, and very out of character for him to do so. Is this the end or do storytellers have more in mind?
