15 years is quite a commitment. Your passion for Y & R is so contagious. I began listening to your podcast a few years ago. I thought you were hilarious and so spot on with your rundowns of the show. 3-1/2 years. I found it when seeking more podcasts, and initially only listened to Ali’s analyses (INcorrectly assuming ‘comments’ were from random, chronic complainers, lol). But when visiting the site and listening to entire Chats, I realized Ali had created a unique, FUN forum for savvy, diehard YnR fans such as herself. THANK YOU, Ali – so wish I had found you sooner. Your always cheerful, respectful approach reflects your love for the show, and your enthusiasm is infectious! Here, here! to future Chats!
I’m weighing in at 1 to 4 years as a pure “guesstimate “…..So glad that I stumbled into Y & R Chat. It would be great if all Chatters could have a “Virtual Reunion ” one day! 🙂
This is my third year here and I only wish I had found it sooner. I remember stumbling upon this searching for details about the Tessa/Mariah/Noah triangle. I really enjoy hearing everyone’s passion for their favorite characters and laughing at Alis jokes.
I believe I found The Chat about 5 years ago. Best unexpected treasure I came upon in a long time. Lucky Me.
Wow! Congratulations on 15 years!! What a commitment and accomplishment. Here’s to another 25 more! I am a newbie. Grew up watching All My Children and OLTL. Got into Y&R for a little while in college in the early 80’s (telling my age). I started watching B&B about 12 years ago off and on depending on where I was traveling at work. When Courtney Hope transferred to Y&R, I was right there with her. Loved her character on B&B and thought she was done an injustice there. I’m taking a guess with 10 years maybe. I started out most likely with the podcast. I do remember I couldn’t listen at work because Ali always makes me laugh out loud. People give odd looks when laughter erupts in an otherwise silent office! Ali, thank you so much for all these years of delightful entertainment and providing an outlet for our love of anything Y&R.
I guess I forgot to mention I listened to podcasts all day with earbuds or headphones so nobody would have heard how funny Ali is.
Honestly I had to take a guess at about 10 years. I was a an early podcast adopter in general and was thrilled to find YR Chat—but I’m not exactly sure what year it was. I feel like I’ve been coming to yrchat.com FOREVER! I can’t imagine watching the show without Ali’s brainchild now. This place is truly special and we are lucky have such a fun & positive place to chat about GC. Long may it stay on our screens.
