I totally approve of the actor. I love his elegant effortlessness, and smooth but intentional style. And I love how he can go from charming to ruthless.
As for the character, I hear what you’re saying Ali. And I guess I’ll say that I approve of Tucker the same way I approved of Victor back in the day. You know they’re mostly bad, but that’s what makes them so good! And while we’ll never have another Victor Newman, Tucker may be a great love-to-hate villain for GC!

I voted approve because I don’t mind St. John in the role but now that we see Jeremy, I honestly think this guy would have fit better as Tucker and St. John as Jeremy. Either way, I’m cool with the outcome and look forward to the storyline now that it’s finally ramping up.

For a brief time, I watched One Life to Live. I never knew INFAMOUS Roger Howarth as Todd Manning. During the time I watched, it was Trevor St. John. He was smooth, unflappable, and unremorsefully evil. I liked him. A good soap character. So, that’s what I hope he brings to Tucker. Y&R needs an evil character. Not a brought-in baddie like Jeremy Stark or that guy that was after Chelsea. MM’s Adam was a gloriously, slightly redeemable Adam. The tall, blonde Adam, and this Adam are sappy—not evil. We need a character who will think of himself first, taking… Read more »
I never watched OLTL, but I agree w/ your take on T.S.John and his potential for a ruthless Tucker!

I approve and I may be a bit ahead of the curve,as I gave this actor a thumbs up when he first came on the scene. I like his dry humor and yet he can show shades of villain, smart and savvy business tycoon, a compassionate and loving father and grandfather…He just checks so many positive boxes in that role. If I had to point out one flaw it would be that I don’t think he is a good match for Ashley.

Approve! The Tucker storyline hasn’t been all that amazing thus far. (Helicopter? Big whoop, we didn’t even see it.) I don’t really ‘like’ Tucker, the person (does anyone, really? – he’s designed to be unlikeable). But I enjoy all of his scenes because I get such a kick out of the actor. For me, T.St.John’s acting choices are a refreshing and interesting departure from the tried but trite acting traps (i.e. the same ol’ hand gestures, over-used eyebrows, pouty lips, exaggerated enunciation, etc.). I never know what to expect from this guy. Tucker’s responses just appear seemingly from nowhere. And… Read more »
I like your comments on his acting and not falling back on the usual gestures and grimaces. You are right, he makes the most of his scenes and interesting to watch. Please keep him around Y&R don’t send him the way of other interesting characters that get written off. It’s frustrating for us as fans.

I just don’t care for him. Reminds me of a mole I worked with at some point in time. I’m really thinking the writers could bring out the spirit, the other or last Tucker McCall brought out. Or is it just the actor?

I love this guy as the actor, Trevor St. John and the character, Tucker McCall. He gives the perfect nuance edge of a sweet and nasty narcissist. Every time he’s on screen I’m never sure what side of him we’ll see. Mind you I’d never want Trevor to occupy my own space, but as an actor he’s absolutely entertaining!

I voted disapprove. I am just not feeling this version of Tucker and not too invested in him. Plus I don’t think he has done much since he has come to town. More talk than action or wanting others to do work for him while he just sits back with his socks up and a drink in his hand. I’m not feeling a connection between Tucker and Ashley or the father son relationship with Devon.

I voted disapprove. Tucker is making Y&R good these days but I don’t think I like him very much. I want to know how he just so happened to have knowledge of Keemo’s daughter Ali. He’s a creepy guy.
e too, I like Sally better with Adam. Her and Nick
I also voted disapprove. I find him annoying. He looks like he could care less about anything, But he was quick to give Nate a talking too but all for Devon’s benefit. Even though he is trying to do the same thing . Get control of Chancellor/Winters.
