I had recently mentioned it would be nice to know what kind of music some of the character’s like. We now know Mariah enjoys Celine Dion and Bonnie Tyler. I thought I also heard Mariah say Jessie Springfield when she was talking to Kyle? I played it back twice and that is what it definitely sounded like. I am not sure if anyone else heard it? Did Mariah mean to say Rick Springfield and the writer’s got confused with the song “Jessie’s Girl” and mixed up the song title and artist’s name together?
Mariah listens to Dusty Springfield, a soulful English pop singer and… lesbian!
Thank you for clarifying Ali. I have never heard of her before.
Or she can enjoy both edgy and sad, old and new, as many people do. Depends on what mood you’re in
Tessa not answering Mariah’s texts is inexcusable. There isn’t a reason for her not to have sent a text saying that she was fine. Sharon mentioned that maybe Tessa didn’t receive any messages, but Tessa never said she didn’t. I would be very angry with Tessa if I was Mariah. Tessa caused Mariah a lot of unnecessary stress. This is why Sharon is very leary of Tessa and worries about Mariah. Tessa is very secretive and Sharon worries about her flighty character traits.
I loved it when Nate showed up at Victoria’s office: it was like he flew in to rescue her! And what about when he instinctively took her in to confort her: that was so cute and romantic. He’s quite a gentleman for a 26-year old lad… The ten-year gap bewteen them is also an issue for me personally so I’m just going to have to pretend that I know nothing about it!
I loved that scene also! That is the first time I have liked Nate that much. I thought it was adorable. I felt the same way. It was like Nate was Victoria’s knight in shining armor! I can totally see a love connection beginning to form between them. I think they would make a super hot couple together!
Seeing as how Jack’s paternity story line has been sidelined right now, could we take it further and dumpster fire the whole story line? I think it was a consensus amongst us chatters that we want to believe that Jack is John’s son and wouldn’t have it any other way. Part of the DNA of Y&R is that Jack is John Abbott’s son for goodness sake. Unfortunately, I know the question of Jack’s paternity can’t simple be forgotten about because we have to deal with this darn “blood Abbott clause”, but maybe as only Soaps can do, the DNA testing… Read more »
Au contraire. Lauren’s skin tight, cleavage baring outfits are exactly what the doctor ordered for those middle age, still hot mamas who want to make over-the-hill geezers like me quake in our boots.
$20,000? Yeah, right Tessa. Mariah needs to stop being snookered by Tessa’s games.
Please forgive me if the spectre of Victoria’s and Nate’s romantic union brings about an attack of narcolepsy.
Finally, I do not care what others’s opinions might be but Lily’s irresponsibility leading to the death of Hilary deserves prison time.
Sharon and Rey definitely have chemistry. Also, I really enjoyed the scenes with Devon this week. I applauded when he told Nate he was tired of people telling him how to feel. I am liking how the writers are showing the pain and hurt Devon feeling of losing his wife Hilary and his child. I also saw chemistry between Nate and Victoria as well.
Hope Tessa doesn’t come back with some gobbledygook tale of woe and is ready to chill into domesticity… in a rock & roll band.
Sorry Gary, your wish was not granted.
Apparently, guys go ga-ga over Sharon’s meatloaf!
I don’t know what she does to it…
Rey had a hold of Y & R’s problem alright. Still don’t want it to be all about Tessa’s messed up life. The direction should be Tessa supporting Mariah. Tessa is like those energy-sucking-all lives-revolve-around-them people we kicked out of our lives in our mid 20s (the smarter Chatters amongst us shut them out right away).
The four women should frame Crystal for JT’s murder!
Kyle seems to switch from loveable rake to fiendish reprobate in the blink of an eye. Just when it appeared we were ready to swallow his role in trying to subvert Billy’s masterplan for Jabot, he conjures up a plot so unscrupulous that even by the malodorous standards of a Victor Newman would make our de jure hometown villain shudder in apprehension.
Hi Ali, I am a little perplexed about something….. Why would Y and R bring in Rey to investigate JT’s “disappearance” when we have a excellent detective in the chief of police Paul Williams. I love it when soaps use their existing characters to generate avenues of stories. I am sure Rey is a great actor. We know that Rey is there to give a background story for Arturo and family connection. But what if Rey is Summer’s old lover before she came back to town. I remember Summer mentioning stealing her Latin lovers car and his wife finding out.… Read more »
Loved the conversation between Victor and Devon. Victor was wise enough to say that he could not know what Devon should do but self aware in knowing what he himself would do. Maybe Devon will be wise enough to realize that if he testifies with revenge as his theme, he risks turning into Victor. That was a rich scene. Beautifully done.
Phyllis needs to practice her circumlocution when engaging in a dialogue with Sharon. Keep on yakking like that and Sharon won’t need a translator to figure out you slept with Nick.
And the question that was more to the point when these two were talking was not so much why did Nick confide in Phyllis but where!
That dress! I couldn’t focus on anything Nikki was saying this episode because I was staring at the dress, sure the top pearls were actual pearls and the rest were painted on then at the end of the show decided they were all painted on then realized I missed the whole interaction between her and Victoria.
Laura, that is such a great comment – point, because the whole thing about theatrical wardrobe is to NOT distract. Keep it simple, especially in a dramatic scene so the viewers eye is on the face and words expressed, not what someone is wearing… When all said and done this dress may find itself infamous in the soap world. Duck for cover!
