Chelsea is a mama bear protecting her cub. Calvin’s death is no surprise, is it Chelsea?

Yes, Sandra. She bumped him off. Only I’m not sure…
The day Cal arrived at our Y&R doorstep, I opened CBS Soaps In Depth to view him being carted away on a gurney dead as a doornail forever… To coin a phrase, LOL.

I am surprised that Nick told Christian to run off to go and get a balloon when they were at the carnival. He and Chelsea botb stood there looking at each other for several minutes while they were talking and noone had their eyes on Christian. Not only could a stranger could have taken Christian but you would think Nick would be extra diligent after Christian was taken by Dina and knowing Adam wants Christian.

and after JT was Katie’s friend in the walls! Nick is Katie’s uncle so how could he forget about the creepy JT thing. I think these writers think fans won’t notice these dumb moves. Or the writers have so much going on in the show they can’t remember the little inconsistencies (like the ones another chatter post this wek)

Lola’s mother was very bossy at the mansion when she suggested that her and Lola go back to the apartment because she was tired. She didn’t have the courteay to ask Lola and Kyle what their plans were for the 4th of July.. She just assumed Lola was going to just follow her mother back to the apartment without giving it a second thought. I am glad Lola told her mother that her and Kyle were going to watch the fireworks and for her mother to go back to the apartment alone. It shows that Lola is a strong independent… Read more »

Calvin is much older than expected. He looks like a politician. Love his accent.

That was hilarious when Michael insinuated that Phyllis may have had too much to drink already at her party and made the gulping sounds as he imitated her downing a drink. I laughed out loud. I am so glad we are seeing more of him!

Is it just me or is Nick being too forgiving of Chelsea? I feel like she doesn’t deserve his forgiveness so easily. Chelsea can commit crimes and deceive Nick and their love, run off with Connor who Nick and Christian were growing close with and then just come back into town and all is forgiven? I feel like it makes Nick look like a chump who has no pride or backbone. He could at least shown shown some anger and resentment and let off steam. Instead he was very understanding and told her he understood why she did it.

Yeah, typical Nick usually blows up and holds a grudge for awhile, but with time he gets over it. I guess the allotted time has passed for Nick to be over what Chelsea did. I personally think it’s refreshing that Nick seems to still have feelings for Chelsea. It’s always Sharon that Nick holds a candle for, so it’s nice to see that he actually has unresolved feelings for Chelsea. I was an Adam and Chelsea fan with other iterations of Adam, but I’m not rooting for this Adam to get back with Chelsea. I liked Nick and Chelsea so… Read more »

I loved seeing the carnival. The ride way up in the air in the background was a really nice touch and very unexpected. Gave the illusion the characters were really outdoors.

Ana’s personality is horrible. If she was real life, I’d steer right clear of her. She still hides things from Devon for her own gain and says it was so not to worry him. Also she is rottingly petty. Nasty, nasty business.

Phyllis is one I’d view from a distance.

If it weren’t for Kevin’s Illegalities, he’d be my best friend “Chelsea hanging with some old guy”- hilarious!

Where in the world is Sam Ashby? Cane hasn’t mentioned that child at all. We see Cane out and about in GC, but we NEVER see him at least pushing a baby stroller. He’s planning a trip to NYC with Tracy and still no mention of Sam’s well being. There was a carnival in town this week, Cane took Traci, and didn’t think to bring his little boy? IMO, YR missed the perfect opportunity to see Sam Ashby!

I sure hope Phyllis and Adam didn’t kill her Chelsea’s husband, but what are the odds of that?

Well Calvin redeemed himself, and then kicked the bucket. I am so dumbfounded by Chelsea’s attitude toward Adam, and it is plain wrong and evil that she didn’t bring Conner with to see his father, and should have done so as soon as she found out he was alive. I don’t understand the extent of Victoria and Nick’s attitude when they first heard he was alive, but Chelsea was no angel, and loved him anyway. How can she want to hurt him now? It’s all so contrived to make Adam the villain, and to keep them apart, so that they… Read more »

Is this the quickest Y&R introduced and new character and then had them killed off. All in one week!

I approve of the churning storyline for sure but regret the loss of his beautiful southern drawl.

Umm…did Adam poison Calvin? How come we didn’t see their conversation? I thought Chelsea killed him at first since he wanted her to have his babies and that repulsed her. But after seeing the preview with Adam saying he and Chelsea can now be together, I’m convinced Adam sabotaged Calvin when he came to talk to him.

Only three people showed up to Phyllis’ party and I am reveling in her misery. She made that bed. We all know it’ll just make her even more vindictive but for the short term let her be lonesome.
