Can you believe that Joshua Morrow is celebrating 25 years of portraying Nicholas Newman. My favorite Nick storylines is him dealing with the death of Cassie. What is yours?
What a great gig he got for himself
If everyone hates you from the get go, and no matter what you do, they will still hate you, then what is the point of changing? Adam has nothing to lose. He stands to gain way more than he has to lose. It makes so much sense that he doesn’t care to show people the softer side that is in him. He’s darned if he does and he’s darned if he doesn’t. That conversation that he had with Phyllis after the accident, where he was talking about himself being the villain where he kind of embraced it made me understand… Read more »
When Phyllis said she uncovered information of some insidious connection between Adam and a Chancellor can anyone tell me if this Chancellor is the same man as Devon’s father?
Victoria is so pitiful. I cringe when i watch her long for her fathers respect.
I swear, that is Cassie’s grave, not Delias’!
Are there no Chatters out there who are the least bit curious as to how the felon Victor Newman “took care of things”” so that the returning Adam did not report straight to prison he got detoured from with the explosion after he returned to Genoa City alive? How does that happen? A situation like this can not be wished away by new writers as if it never happened… Adam is bogus, all the way around…
I am with you in this Gary. Although valid, your desire for an actual set of facts and events describing exactly what Victor did in order to free Adam of any charges, will go unmet. This is the price we pay, and the creative leniency we afford the writers of Y&R, as loyal viewers, to move along the plot and bring people back from the dead! I’m willing to look the other way if the writers decide that Dina has been dealing with an untreated virus that mimicked symptoms of Alzheimer’s…if it were to bring her back on our screens… Read more »
SANDRA! You are up, chatting early! No, wait. I’m in California. It is later where you are, probably… Definiately, about the suspension of disbelief. But with something like being on your way to the local state prison, THAT – soap or not – can’t be brushed under the rug! But O.K., fine with me, I am just desperately looking to get up on the soapbox. You have to have an opinion! You have to stay angry! With Dina, although it would be a cheapie sell out of the Alzheimers story they could still take it away and make it credible… Read more »
And it is not a bad thing that they are taking their sweet time with all of this…
YOU HAVE TO STAY HUNGRY!
Listen to moi, I have not given up hope that Dina will be brought back from the brink. As you so astutely recognized, the writers could have just killed Dina off at the Abbot mansion, or hastened her demise. Instead, they built a set for the memory care facility….hmmm. Even I did not put that together, so kudos to you. Never give up hope. As the saying goes, “ siempre hay esperanza.” Ain’t that right Zoperxplex, lol.
And that would be the wish of the viewers…. And Josh/Morina is saying they want to give the viewers what they want. Or they kind of said that…
SANDRA: This one’s for you! Don’t want to get too caught up with this comment, but briefly – over a year ago I saw a CNN feature about this new pill that is having great success with Alzheimers. Can’t recall specifics, but my thought at the time was, ‘Get Dina that pill!’ (fantasy is all. Pills for the real life patients too!) Did not see a follow-up to this presentation, so take it with a grain of salt, but it would have to be credible to appear on CNN. Not fake news!, but I digress… About the memory care facility… Read more »
Tessa Porter is the new Brock Reynolds…
Adam was absolved of Constance’s murder once it was proven that the missing diary entries from Sage’s journal were fake. It was Victor who set up Adam by concocting a forged journal wherein Sage appeared to be alluding to Adam murdering Constance however those critical pages where she actually accuses Adam were missing. He also arranged for the authorities to come across those missing pages on a scavenger hunt. Later, upon a crisis of conscious, Victor relented and convinced a female bartender from G.C.A.C. with a suitcase loaded with cash to leave town for good, accept her role as fallgal… Read more »
Kevin should spill everything to Billy and Nick so they could collaborate to bring Adam down like they did JT!
Maybe something will happen where Christian needs Adam medically (transplant) and Nick let’s him go because of that. Than maybe we will see Adam see that the right thing is to leave him with Nick, and show up at his door to hand him back. It would be a step toward softening Adam.
I am so happy Paul is on screen and in our lives again. The last couple of times we’ve seen Paul had nothing to do with police business. That’s just what I asked for when I took the CBS poll, more Paul no matter what capacity. He’s a great friend to Nikki. I was so impressed with his level of compassion toward Nikki, putting aside his dislike of Victor. I played the scene in the park between Nikki and Paul and had the captions on. When Paul asked if it was serious, and saw Nikki’s answer on her face, he… Read more »
Oh, I agree. I’ve enjoyed Paul’s more frequent
appearances so much. It just give me a warm feeling & I feel comfortable again
I want Traci and Cane together because he smiles when he’s with her
Great reason! Lily can’t manage that.
The look in Victor’s eyes when he told Adam to “pack your bags and get off of my property” gave me the chills.
A split second before he was an exasperated father. At that moment, he was the devil’s enemy!
It is a treasured treat when good actors show us their talent
Adam don’t care about christion , he just want the child because he thinks christion it’s a price , if Adam really care about the child then he would leave the child with Nick and am so proud of Victor for standing up for Nick and victor told Adam the truth
I’m trying so hard to get onboard with Tracy’s novel and these scenes but still having the urge to fast forward.
I’ve fallen under its spell. Can’t wait to see which character appears next. Seeing Paul as a bad guy was so much fun. Also, Velma’s hard boiled vocabulary and accent is #1!
Flimflam man!
Nuanced Justin Hartley did not deserve to die and had so much life to live at Y&R. This new dark, selfish Adam is so – played out. A decade ago. The new oldies (Josh & the other guy) controlling the show, in wanting to take us back to the days of Bill Bell, need, in my opinion, a better long term plan in how to do that over taking popular characters who in their prime acted a certain way and trying to force their old persona on them. Sometimes, in honoring the old you still have to move forward. How… Read more »
It’s so fun when I have to pause to scream
They really need to give us something emotional with Adam to make him sympathetic, as Ali said on last weeks chat. Even Michael Muhney’s Adam had that aspect to him. We saw him struggle with keeping the secret that he was the one (to date) who hit Delia, only torn because of his love for Connor. I wish they wouldn’t have brought him back soooo vengeful, which is not consistent with the story when he left. The new actor is doing a fantastic job, and I think he can pull off more than the one dimensional character that they are… Read more »
I recognize the formula with Adam made more vulnerable soon, but he is not a new character. They should be showing all sides of him now, as when he left… Is Adam ‘bitter’ , having walked Vegas streets alone with no identity for so long? Seems like he was a lot happier & nicer not being himself… Where is Adam’s pleasure in having his 30 year jail sentence magically disappear, poof!, with no explanation? Or was that only Nikki that got the 30? He was at least up for 10. Be grateful, Adam. You came back with the world your… Read more »
The drama of the lost engagement ring seems more compelling to me and I enjoyed the happy resolution within a single episode!
Victor is wrong. Adam is acting a lot like Victor right now.
