Good point today about how the characters are being shuffled around—like the writers are rearranging the chess pieces or setting the table differently. I remember this happened a while back and we noticed it then too. I suppose every so often they need to shake things up and start again. I imagine they have some long range story arcs planned that required all these changes. It’s pretty extreme to make Nate a business guy instead of a doctor! Yaaas! to the character shuffle. I LOVE IT. THere’s often been chatter here about ‘wash, rinse, repeat’: a soap device that’s pretty hard to avoid (and really, why??) for any show that’s been on the air for FIFTY YEARS! I lhink there’s a clear and successful ‘method to YnR”s writer/-producer madness’ (despite their being slammed on the regular) in their calls to switch things up OR stick w/the tried and true . So true! Even my iron is gathering dust in the spare room LOL. It will be sad when the daytime drama era ends. It’s hard to believe we are down to only 4 shows! Hopefully these 4 will hang on to their loyal viewers for many years to come.
