I do think those might be Devon’s drugs; it seems he has some type of ailment. The baggie was weird, rather than a nice leather case in the bathroom, but his ailment seems serious. With Anna there, they can look into his medical heredity. Anna said something to Cain about “his mother.” Wasn’t it a mother that they shared? She would have said “our mother.” Devon’s father is Catherine’s son, Hunter? Hooper? Carter? I forget his name.
I do like Phyllis and Billy more than Phyllis and Nick this time around. I want them to forgive each other and get back together. I don’t especially like Nick and Sharon, but most writers do. If i was Nick, i would NEVER forgive Sharon for taking Summer away from him, even for a year – maybe that is why Summer took a personality turn.
I must say most of November was not very interesting for a sweeps month. But this past week was good, and the preview for next week is good.
I wonder who Fenn’s love interest will be now that he has come to town. I think he may be in town to cause trouble for Kyle and Lola. There needs to be some drama between the three of them. Possibly a love triangle. We will have to wait and see.
I don’t know if Kerry was brought in to replace Ashley or Hilary but I will say it definitely will not be Hilary. So far she lacks Hilary’s sense of humor and charisma. She is more of a cool character like Ashley.
I just listened to the latest Soap Opera Digest podcast (Dishing with Digest) featuring a 40 something minute interview with the actress who plays Jill. She discusses her early career, her entrance as Jill over 30 years ago, and her current status on Y&R. She says she will be on more often soon.
Was the Underground burnt down twice? I do remember on Valentine’s Day 2015 the Underground’s roof collapsed during a snow storm. It was subsequently rebuilt under heavy criticism from the YRChat community.
Dina accidentally set fire to it
That was the final incident at the Underground, the one that hammered the last nail in the coffin as far as its survival was concerned. I believe, however, Ali mentioned more than one fire.
It took 2 major disasters to finally take down The Underground. In 2015, the roof collapsed due to structural damage (trapping Nikki, Victor, Phyllis and a few others inside). Then, in 2017, Dina accidentally set it on fire while the Ashby twins were trapped inside. Billy went in to save them and got stuck, so Jack went in to save Billy, which helped heal their brotherly relationship after the Phyllis affair. That storyline marked the beginning of Mal Young’s reign, and The Underground was never rebuilt (thankfully!)
I remember Victor saved Jack’s life only to later have him kidnapped on his wedding night no less. Following their escape from the wreckage they both found themselves stuck in the same hospital room convalescing from their injuries. There was one loss arising from that incident-Nick informed his family that a previously unknown, unseen bartender was killed in the aftermath of the tragedy. He expressed his regrets.
